We are seeking a qualified and experienced Audit Manager to join our clients well-established firm of Chartered Accountants and registered Auditors, based in Ceres, Western Cape. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auditing, with at least 2 years of post-article experience and must be registered as a Chartered Accountant CA(SA). This role involves leading and managing audit teams, liaising directly with clients, and ensuring the highest standards of audit quality and compliance.
Minimum Requirements:
CA(SA) qualification.
Proficiency in CaseWare and Microsoft Office programs.
Own transport, a valid Driver’s License, and willingness to travel.
Approximately 2 years of experience in audit management.
Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
Strong technical skills with knowledge of IFRS for SMEs, ISAs, and the Companies Act.
Experience in compilations, independent reviews, and audits (including system audits).
Strong project management experience.
Excellent communication skills.
Reliable, diligent, and well-organised.
Ability to function well under pressure and deliver accurate work.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to directors.
Planning, execution, and review of audit, independent review, agreed-upon procedures, and compilation work, including tax calculations.
Training and mentoring junior Audit Clerks.
Administration related to audit and other services.
Direct liaison with clients.
Monitoring budgets and ensuring compliance with deadlines.
Staying updated with the latest technical standards and ensuring all work is performed in line with these standards.
