    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Asset Management

    • Record, retire, transfer, edit, and update assets in the asset register as per approved requests
    • Manage asset inquiries promptly and professionally

    Post Doctoral Fellowship (Poultry Nutrition)

    ABOUT THE POSITION:

    • The Animal Science group at North-West University, Mafikeng, South Africa is seeking an outstanding and research driven candidate to apply for a postdoctoral fellowship in Poultry Nutrition. The fellow will join a dynamic group of scientists and technicians who are exploring nutritional strategies to deliver sustainable and profitable poultry production systems under high welfare standards, as part of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal to achieve food security.
    • The fellowship is available from 1 April 2025 and is yearly renewable for up to 2 years with a tax-free remuneration.

    Minimum requirements

    • Applicants must have graduated within the last four years with a PhD degree in Poultry Nutritional Sciences, Animal Nutrition, Animal nutritional Biochemistry, or related field, preferably with at least five research articles in reputable journals. 
    • Experience in the application of multiple omics (genomics , transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and metagenomics) technologies in poultry health and productivity will be a definite advantage.
    • Experience in data collection and analysis is essential.
    • The expectations for this fellowship are publication productivity, co-supervision of post graduate students, and grant proposal writing.
