    Continuous Improvement Manager

    • This role will work closely with the Performance Delivery Lead, Manager and Partner; accountable for the delivery of continuous improvement across all pillars. Focal point to lead continuous improvement on the performance management of day-to-day delivery at scale in collaboration with our Partners. This role is responsible to connect with both the L3 UniOps team and market Customer Operations team to drive the adoption, execution and continuous improvement of iOps capabilities/enablers

    WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

    • Owns execution and adoption of capabilities & enables roadmap across pillars within the geography in coordination with global PEX, IT, Country Performance Delivery Manager, and Country iOPS team
    • Address adoption issues and outside system work-arounds
    • Work with global PEX, and IT teams for any CR requirements
    • Benchmark usage and effectiveness relative to other sites / markets
    • Drives process-based / capability-based governance and benchmarking within geography 
    • Ensure assets are maximized before any small tech or auxiliary automations are developed to support operations

    Owns continuous improvement agenda in collaboration with partners & country

    • Drives governance to ensure right prioritization of initiatives across markets
    • Ensures CI agenda of partners is aligned to UL priorities, roadmap, framework
    • Cross pollinate learnings / experience from within organization into our partner operations
    • Identify Best Practices - External and Internal. Explore emerging trends and actively seek
    • opportunities to - SIMPLIFY, ELIMINATE, AUTOMATE, CONSOLIDATE, CENTRALISE.

    SPOC for global process excellence team into the geography

    • Drives prioritization of C&E execution within the geography in alignment with global team
    • Represents markets within geography in global process / capability discussions and community of practices
    • Drive effectiveness and consistency of operating model (governance, gatekeeping, etc).

    Junior Brand Manager

    • Develops and revises standards operating procedures relating to SHE to ensure  compliance with UL SHE standards.
    • Maintains a database (e.g. SharePoint) of the standard operating procedures and copies of all legislation relating to the SHE matters.
    • Maintains a database of remedial actions from accident reports, lessons learnt, internal & external audits, safety inspections and Sub Committee & CSHEC meetings (e.g. Consolidated Action Tracker).
    • Manages the site’s central database of all statutory records.
    • Formulates and prepares legal appointments in terms of the country specific OHS Act and Regulations.
    • Drives the identification and implementation of preventative measures against SHE hazards.
    • Participates in safety inspections, HAZOP studies and Management of Change (MOC) discussions.
    • Participates and provide input into MOC forums.
    • Assists with the preparation and monitoring of SHE metrics & KPI’s related to Monthly / Quarterly /Annual SHE performance review reporting.
    • Prepares and ensures alignment of the Sub Committee & CSHEC decks and participates in Sub Committee & CSHEC meetings.
    • Takes minutes at Sub Committee & CSHEC meetings and maintain Sub Committee & CSHEC meeting action tracker.
    • Follows up on action closure with the relevant Sub Committee & CSHEC stakeholders.
    • Assists with the investigation of incidents.
    • Supports the hosting of regulatory agency visits.
    • Supports the implementation of SHE campaigns on site.
    • Intervenes and reports on non-compliances and unsafe behaviour on site.
    • Communicates incident reporting requirements to employees and contractors.
    • Ensures that the SHE Communications boards are kept up to date.
    • Communicates relevant legal and policy requirements to managers and other employees and ensures compliance thereof.
    • Responsible for the compilation of site emergency plans and supports the training of personnel to exercise these plans
    • Compiles SHE training matrix and presents relevant SHE Training and Awareness Programs using various tools/media e.g. safety induction and tracks compliance with SHE training plan on site.
    • Reviews and sources course content for safety, health and environment related courses.
    • Manages Contractor SHE Compliance and follows up on training and non-conformances.
    • Supports gap closure against SHE audits and assessment findings.
    • Conducts internal & departmental SHE audits, develops reports and prepares action plans for gap closure.
    • Organizes occupational hygiene environmental surveys in accordance with legal requirements e.g. light, noise etc.
    • Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement in the SHE work-area.
    • Create PO’s for services procured from SHE Service Providers as required

    WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

    Experiences & Qualifications

    • Diploma in Risk Management OR N4 in Engineering
    • Degree in Safety or Environmental Management (Preferred)
    • At least 3 years’ SHE working experience in a manufacturing or corporate environment.

    Knowledge and experience of:

    • SHE legislation / Legal Liability/ HIRA / OS Risk Assessments and Implementation thereof.
    • Good stakeholder management up to Executive level.
    • Incident and Accident Management, Investigation and Implementation of Corrective Actions.
