    Depot Product Manager

    Opportunity

    Manages an Inland Group/Cluster in accordance with plans within the parameters of customer requirements, management direction and safe working practices to achieve maximum levels of productivity and customer service by optimum utilisation of recourses (Large Scope of Operations).

    As the Depot Product Manager, you will have end-to-end responsibility for depot products within area in scope. You will also be generally responsible for profitable operations, depot within the area, and business development.

    Strategy

    • Implement and cascade Global Depot Product Guidelines
    • Optimization and growth of the Depot Product portfolio within the Area (footprint/locations and services)

    Profitability

    • Maximize the revenue and profitability Depot Product (Maersk operated facilities as well as outsourced facilities)
    • Develop new revenue streams (BCO and Shipping Lines Customers)
    • Ensure that Area pricing is compliance with the global guidelines
    • Drive depot product with the sales community
    • Identify and deliver cost optimization (cost saving initiatives)
    • Manage capacity and product offering in accordance to market needs

    Operational excellence

    • Safe and compliant operations of facilities within scope
    • Ensure adequate level of control
    • New products introduction and implementation (Go Live0
    • Drive performance transparency and continuous improvement culture.

    Customer focus

    • Ensure timely delivery and proactive customer focus
    • Manage relationships with key customers, whether Shipping Lines, non ocean and ocean BCOs

    Customer Experience Agent

    KEY RESPONSABILITIES

    • Manage customer issues and engage relevant stakeholders as required to facilitate timely and effective solutions
    • effective handling of escalated situations and complaints across several communication channels
    • Work with our extended Customer Experience team (based in India) and ensure the smooth execution of the end-to-end shipment lifecycle and high-quality service levels for our customer.
    • Deliver proactive customer service - track shipments and notify customers of relevant deviations from the schedule, including potential solutions or alternatives
    • Constantly seek ways to improve our service and customer experience
    • Act as a primary contact for customers, you will actively build strong relationships and gain an understanding of their business, service needs and drivers
    • Use your relationship building skills and fantastic customer service to increase revenue, by growing our customers’ business and promoting added value services

    WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

    • Strong customer service background, with proven success in a similar role. Shipping experience is not essential.

    Yard Supervisor

    Opportunity
    Has responsibility for the overall performance of yard operations, including safety, housekeeping and security, from the identification of drivers to proper procedures for access and departure from the yard. We offer the opportunity to focus on driving performance, manage customer relationships, and take accountability for HSSE whilst ensuring that relevant KPI’s are met.

    Your main Responsibilities will be:

    • Supervise Yard and Gate staff and activities
    • Develop and implement an efficient method to assure that supplies and equipment are available and daily goals are met
    • Ensure the accuracy and timely preparation, processing, distribution and retention of all necessary reports and records regarding all operating functions for the Yard and Dock office
    • Oversee equipment billing, per diem, reconciliation and reporting as necessary as it relates to the Yard for home and other nearby facilities
    • Assist with implementing and managing safety and compliance programs
    • Assist with forecasting of container volumes to ensure proper staffing and scheduling.

    Who and What we are looking for:

    • At least Grade 12 with preferably a tertiary qualification in Logistics
    • At least 5 years’ experience in logistics or yard industry with 3 years’ Supervisory experience
    • Good communication/negotiation skills with assertive attitude
    • Proactive approach, problem solver mindset, innovative when needs be
    • Ability to perform well under pressure
    • Computer literate

    Landside Transportation Agent

    Opportunity

    Has responsibility for timely and accurate updating and entering of data as per process. Reports tasks in an efficient manner to achieve high customer satisfaction and support timely Vendor payment process.

    Your main responsibilities will be:

    • Liaising and preparing transport plans with suppliers
    • Allocation of work orders and drive process efficiency ensuring that we focus on customer outcomes
    • Coordinating with Transnet Freight rail daily to ensure that the loading  plans are executed according to the agreed pre-plan
    • Get understanding of the customers business when proposing viable solutions
    • Maintaining On-Time Delivery as per customer requirement (internal / external customers)
    • Identify recurring service failures and process gaps in intermodal delivery and initiate steps to address root cause
    • Optimize experience by challenging business rules/ limitations where possible
    • Evaluation of cases/issues and capture of voice of customer to ensure instant resolution takes place
    • Attend/setup telecoms to address customer concerns, regularly overview of accounts / corridors
    • Actively engage with customer experience and intermodal vendors for workable solutions and timely resolution
    • Own and manage the finance process and administration for all work executed.

    Who and What we are looking for:

    • 3+ Years of experience of logistics operations
    • A bachelor's degree will be considered as an advantage
    • Strong stakeholder management skills
    • You are ready and always prepared to go the extra mile to deliver on Maersk’s promise to its customers
    • Thorough understanding of the Transnet Freight rail container operation
    • Understand process thinking and operational processes, result oriented, strong sense of urgency with a cost ownership mindset
    • Ability to identify weak spots and proactively engage in analysis and solutions

    • Ability to work under pressure
