    Project Manager

    Job Purpose    

    • The Project Manager will oversee the project management function and manage project execution of IT projects. The role entails taking responsibility for the project execution and delivery of a portfolio of large-scale IT Projects. The incumbent will ensure delivery of projects in support of the IT and Business strategies and design a project level execution roadmap and reporting dashboard. The role entails management of service provider staff that perform project management functions as well as stakeholders involved with project execution.

    Principal Accountabilities    

    • Establish project governance, methodologies and practices
    • Contribute towards strategy definition, strategy design and project delivery alignment
    • Oversees IT Demand management by effectively aligning business needs with available resources to maximise value

    • Bachelor's degree at NQF level 7 in Computer Science or Information Technology or a related field
    • At least 3 - 5 years proven IT project management experience in a large organisation with multiple projects
    • PMBOK and or Prince certification

    Specialist IT Asset Management

    Job Purpose    

    • The IT Asset Specialist is responsible to manage all ICT assets (hardware, software and digital resources) throughout their lifecycle to ensure assets are used effectively, ensuring alignment with governance and compliance as well as best practice including ITIL V4 principles and organizational policies. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the assets are tracked, optimised, compliant and cost effective.

    Principal Accountabilities    

    • Contribute to the design of the Information Technology Division Strategy and ensure strategies are implemented and integrated within areas of responsibility
    • Optimise cost through monitoring usage to prevent waste and reduce unnecessary expenses
    • Participate in IT strategy planning activities to provide insights for smarter purchasing and renewal decisions
    • Work with Finance and Procurement to align asset management with organisational goals
    • Provide visibility into asset status for better planning and budgeting
    • Track IT assets from procurement to disposal
    • Ensure assets are properly deployed, maintained and retired at the right time
    • Establish and enforce asset management policies
    • Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements to avoid legal or financial risks

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Good understanding of ICT best practices, ability to provide management reports and good accurate records keeping

    Specialist Operations Management

    Job Purpose    

    • The Operations Management Specialist role is responsible for ownership and execution of critical incident management, problem management, change management, and control processes across the SAA group, ensuring alignment with ITIL V4 principles and organizational policies. This role is pivotal in maintaining service stability, minimizing risk, and driving continuous improvement in IT infrastructure operations.

    Principal Accountabilities    

    • Ensure the efficient and effective management of change and problem management processes to improve cost control, system performance, and end user satisfaction
    • Implement robust processes for change and problem management that consistently deliver customer value and minimize service disruptions
    • Drive a customer-centric approach in all change, problem and incident management activities, ensuring that user needs and feedback inform process improvements
    • Ensure that governance, risk management, and compliance policies are embedded in all change and problem management processes, supporting organizational resilience and regulatory adherence
    • Provide regular, timely reporting on change and problem management activities, outcomes, and trends to key stakeholders for informed decision-making

    Job Purpose    

    • The role is responsible for analysing and optimising the airline’s route network, codeshare agreements, and interline partnerships to maximise revenue and profitability. This role involves conducting in-depth market research, financial modelling, and performance analysis to drive strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. The incumbent will be the custodian of the reporting ecosystem and processes supporting the effective management of the airline route network and codeshare partnership.

    Principal Accountabilities    

    • Route Profitability: Conduct regular profitability analysis of the route network and airline partnerships to identify cost inefficiencies and revenue gaps and provide actionable recommendations to enhance business performance
    • Forecasting and Advisory: Lead in-depth analysis during route and codeshare development, focusing on connectivity, route contribution and strategic alignment to support network expansion and profitability goals
    • Reporting: Continuously evaluate and enhance profitability reporting frameworks for the route network and partnerships to maximise revenue generation and profitability
    • Reporting Tools: Develop and implement advanced revenue and profitability reporting tools for the network and airline partnerships to enable data driven decision making
