Job description

• As part of the social responsibility initiatives, the NNR provides opportunities to unemployed graduates to receive workplace skills and experience.

Requirements

• Grade 12
• Completed NQF level 6 in Information Science or Records management
• No work experience, graduates in search of internship to gain experience
• Not have participated previously in an internship/learnership programme
• Be a South African citizen

Skills Development and Training focus area

• Assist with cataloguing and classification of library collections
• Assist with maintaining indexing systems and files for collections
• Assist with maintaining document and record inventories and conducting inventory audits
• Assist with the allocation of document numbers and retrieval of records
• Assist with migrating documents to current templates
• Assist with preserving and caring for organizational records 
• Assist with disposal or archival of obsolete records and data migration

Required Competencies

• MS Office experience
• Good communication skills
• Teamwork
• Ability to work under pressure
• Interpersonal skills

• No work experience, graduates in search of internship to gain experience
• Not have participated previously in an internship/learnership programme
• Be a South African citizen

Skills Development and Training focus area

• Assist with reviewing applications or requests submitted to the regulator for adequacy and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Assist with conducting surveys for radiological contamination on specific sites as necessary
• Participate in indoor radon related activities as scheduled
• Assist with extracting samples for laboratory analysis when necessary
• Attend relevant technical webinars, seminars, workshops, training and technical meetings
