Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of a BTech / BSc or BEng degree in Civil Engineering
• Must be professionally registered with ECSA as Pr Tech Eng or Pr Eng.

Experience

• Must have 8 – 15 years post-graduation experience in municipal service design and documentation.
• Must be highly skilled in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Strong competence in Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel and MS Word is required.
• Experience in Infraworks / Revit and BIM 360 would be an advantage.
• The successful incumbent must be able to develop and maintain Civil 3D styles, standards and processes involved in the design of civil works in the Autodesk AEC suite.
• Must have experience in taking the lead regarding the development of the client brief, engaging with approval authorities, and leading the design process.

Qualifications

• Must have a Multi-Disciplinary Draughting Certificate (MDDOP N4/5).

Experience

• Minimum of 3+ years’ Roads and Stormwater experience.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng)

Experience

• Must have a minimum of 8 years relevant post-graduation experience in a consulting engineering environment including design, and contract documentation.
• Experience in bridge, seismic and temporary works design would be an advantage.
• Must have a thorough working knowledge of relevant design codes. Experience with international design codes would be an advantage.
• Must be competent with modern structural analysis, design and drawing software, including AutoDesk products, Prokon, MS Office and MS Project.

Job Profile / Skills
The successful incumbent will be responsible for the design of predominantly structural related work. Other key responsibilities will include, inter alia:

• Completion of technical designs.
• Compilation of tender documentation in various formats.
• Management of projects and technical teams.
• Leading projects in terms of overall project management.
• Mentorship of junior technical staff in terms of design & engineering practices
• Keeping up to date with software and design tools to assist with design
• Must be able to lead projects and manage other team members.
• Must have good communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
• A valid driver’s licence is essential.
• Must be prepared to work in the field
