    Quantitative Analyst C1

    Role Purpose:                             

    Situated in the FNB Commercial TxPH Analytics space the essence of this role is to develop quantitative analytics products and models within a specified framework, and with minimal guidance, to translate business requirements into tangible, creative solutions. Furthermore it will focus on optimising processes, recommend enhancements and inform strategic decisions through statistical modelling and data analysis that address business problems or opportunities.                                

    Responsibilities :                               

    • Prevent wastage, and on an ongoing basis identify process improvements in order to contain and reduce costs
    • Under limited supervision, influence creative business solutions, optimise processes and inform strategic decisions through statistical modelling and data analysis
    • Provide assistance, guidance and mentorship to junior Quantitative Analysts
    • Assist with the entire model value chain
    • Develop, encourage and nurture collaborative relationships within FNB and/or across the FRG
    • Continuously assess own performance, seek timely and clear feedback and request training where appropriate
    • Continuously refine and enhance models to facilitate decision-making
    • Ensure compliance to legislative and audit requirements and adherence to relevant processes
    • Build working relationships across teams and functional lines in order to enhance work delivery, collaboration and innovation
    • Drive customer service delivery goal achievement in line with predefined standards and in support of operational objectives

    Qualifications and Experience:                             

    • Minimum Qualification - B Degree Maths, Stats, Engineering, Computer Science, Econometrics, Physics or Actuarial Science

    Senior Apple Application Developer

    Role Purpose:

    To provide IT expertise, advice and leadership in the design, creation, testing and documentation of new and enhanced applications and systems in accordance with the agreed framework of programming standards. To assist in the development of IT operational implementation plans and associated IT processes, methods and techniques.

    Responsibilities:

    • Increase operational efficiency and suggest solutions to enhance cost-effectiveness.
    • Deliver exceptional service that exceeds customers’ expectations through proactive, innovative and appropriate solutions by resolving queries fast end effectively.

    IT Security Specialist

    Role Purpose:

    To ensure that the design of IT security architecture, as well as appropriate security controls, are in line with FRG policies, processes, standards and procedures. The incumbent will also ensure that proper and adequate IT technology and tools are in place to enforce these controls.

    Responsibilities:

    • Increase operational efficiency and suggest solutions to enhance cost-effectiveness.

    • Support with the aligning to and the implementation of an appropriate security operational strategy for the organization by ensuring that IT Security standards are not only understood but owned by management and employees and ensure that appropriate standards are established and complied with.
    • Comply, understand, and all steps for the IT Information Security Processes and Procedures and meet governance in terms of legislative and audit requirements and provide consultation to business with regard to this.
    • Identification, management, and of information security risks within FNB by assisting in identifying, defining, and maintaining the information security policy and functional standards for FRB.
    • Support with implementing control mechanisms, which enables the Information Security Service to have a view of the status of information security within FRB.
    • Report on mitigating actions required to correct or remedy actions where necessary and inform FRB Governance structures or Business Units of any significant changes and risk situations.
    • Consult to projects in terms of identifying risks, vulnerabilities, and controls for new developments by researching and understanding security best practices and implementation of security products in a corporate environment.
    • Perform Security Assessments on internal environments or external 3rd party environments, with the purpose of identifying shortcomings which introduce risk
    • Manage your own development to increase your own competencies.
    • Maintain current knowledge of the Information Systems security industry's emerging technologies.

    Additional Requirements:

    • CISM/ CISSP/ISO27001 certification is required
    • A strong understanding of security issues, terminology, risk and remedial actions

    Qualifications and Experience:     

    • Degree or Diploma

    Role Purpose

    • To design user interfaces, using best practices and principles

    Qualification and Experience
