    Senior Specialist – Network Security Technology Information

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Planning and Design:

    • Prepare High and Low-level design documentation
    • Prepare Statement of Work (SoW) for implementation teams
    • Provide complete and accurate documentation on the Mobile and ISP network security architecture
    • Implement security policy definitions
    • Drive best practice, continuous improvement and innovation at process and procedure level whilst ensuring adherence to change control policies and procedures
    • Verify that platform, features and functionality meet design objectives
    • Determine and understand the network security needs of all internal and external data customers
    • Take action to prevent the reoccurrence of problems, identifying external parties to assist with problem solving if required
    • Consult with solutions consultants regarding the planning and design of effective solutions for customers, ensuring that the needs and requirements of the customer are taken into account and that solutions are aligned with the operational plans of the technical team

    Solution Delivery:

    • Assist with the operational establishment and development of new MTN networks in the international arena
    • Ensure conformance to performance parameters and SLAs in all areas of planning, building and configuration of the MTN core IP network

    Reporting:

    • Provide constant status, feedback and progress reports on new build and solution delivery and support deliverables, reporting risk, change, status, decisions required etc. to stakeholders

    Financial Management:

    • Provide input into the forecasting and planning of budgets for the implementation of new solutions

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Miniuim Requirements

    Education: 

    • Minimum of 3 year technical degree/diploma
    • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent 
    • Related industry certifications in cloud solutions (e.g. Cisco, Fortinet, AppGate).

    Contextual Experience

    Manager - Emission Management

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Key Performance Areas:

    The Manager: Emission Management will be accountable to achieve the following objectives:

    • Deliver emissions expertise and governance as well as functional expertise to support local OpCos as required
    • Support delivery of emissions and energy management strategy for the MTN Group
    • Net Zero strategy and roadmap development, measurement and tracking

    Specialist - Application and Endpoint Security Technology Information

    Key Deliverables

    Solutions Delivery

    • Provide security guidance and review on business and technology products/ solutions, model threats and risks as well as the controls necessary to mitigate them, on both an organisational and technical level – thinking like a malicious hacker, understanding, and anticipating the moves and tactics that a hacker might use to attack MTN systems. 
    • Prevent unauthorized access and malware infection of networks, infrastructure applications using security countermeasures.

    Senior Specialist - Information Systems Security Technology Information

    Key Deliverables

    Technical Excellence:

    • Participate in and lead the security design and implementation of all products across Consumer, Enterprise, Technology, Digital and Financial Services - design phase security architecture and post implementation.

    • Responsible for the development and implementation of the security architecture roll-out definition and actualization of products via third parties
    • Roadmap definitions for security systems of key products by monitoring security environment; identifying security gaps; evaluating and implementing enhancements.

    Manager - Financial and Operational Audit Group Internal Audit and Forensics

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Key Deliverables

    • High quality and consistent reporting on Audit, Advisory and other defined Assurance Outcomes
    • High quality delivery, oversight and management (where applicable) of Audit, Advisory and Assurance outcomes

    Senior Manager - Capex Allocation and Profitability Analysis Group Finance

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • As the Operational Lead in the Group Business Finance team, the role is accountable to manage and operationalize the Group Capital Management Strategy. Key performance areas of this role include, but not limited to the following: 
    • Assist the Lead Group Capital Management in developing and effectively implementing the capital management strategy, associated framework, policies, governance and operational models to support execution of the strategy. This includes, but is not limited: 
    • Standards, principles and agreed-upon methods for group-wide investment/capital identification, evaluation, measurement and analytics models to ensure consistency in executing capital allocation and utilization strategies across the Group.
    • Standardized processes and integrated monitoring of capital projects (from the project design phase to its final delivery) for traceability, continuous monitoring of returns and minimization controls over budgetary fluctuations.
    • Standard Global and Local Reporting, Dashboard and Metrics formats, templates, computational standards and guidelines for Capital and Investment projects/initiatives/programs (Portfolio Level and Individual Project Level).

    • Responsible to collaborate with Group finance operations, finance business partnering and FP&A teams to establish clear capital cost and revenue allocation principles, agreements and conditions to ensure accurate and consistent financial reporting over capital. Ensure adoption of the principles across the Group, businesses and Opcos.
    • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert and provide advisory support to Local Finance Teams and Local Capital Management Committees to improve local capital management, including but not limited:
    • Capex/Investment Planning and Budgeting
    • Capital Allocation guidance, target setting and utilization practices
    • Recommended utilization, profitability and returns metrics for various capex categories
    • Evaluation of new business opportunities using appropriate valuation methodologies
    • Provide independent council and review of high value/niche/complex new strategic initiatives  proposed by the Opcos and assess return on investments
    • Manage and maintain financial profiles of critical/high value projects (based on defined thresholds / strategic priority) in Manco and Opcos (as required) with respect to the quality of the estimates, the variability of cash flows, and the payback profile over time.
    • Manage evaluation of Group Capital decisions with project financial modelling, share option valuations, return on investment assessments, cost of capital calculations and business valuations and group recharge models. Provide inputs to breakeven values of critical variables that must be achieved for the capital project/decisions to generate value.
    • Manage assessment of key investment projects (Group and Critical Local Investments) based on defined criteria such as strategic profile (growth potential and fitment with the overall business strategy), financial profile (expected project return and short-term impact on EBIT), risk profile (payback time and assessment of market risks), and resource profile (fitment with existing capabilities).
    • Review and evaluate out-of-budget capital projects (as per thresholds) and provide independent insights to the Capital Committee for final approval / recommendation.
    • Review and provide inputs to local and Group FP&A teams with regards to Opco business plans to validate and conduct scenario analysis for capital decisions. Provide recommendation on adjustments (if required).
    • Assist Group Finance and M&A team members in strategic capex/investment transaction, including leading Finance / Accounting in commercial due diligence, valuations and recommendations for impairments / goodwill.
    • Promote and apply risk-management tools systematically across the capital management value chain. Use advanced modelling techniques to identify risks and propose mitigation/conditional measures which maybe inherent in high investment proposals.
    • Represent and support the various Capital Management Governance teams (Group and Opco) as required, on behalf of the Lead, Group Capital Management.
    •  Collaborate with respective Group Finance teams to ensure strong alignment between OpEx and CapEx interdependencies to increase accuracy of targets and budgets.

    • Facilitate interactive data, information sharing, and collaboration throughout the capital management process and its integration across MTN Businesses and Opcos.
    • Identify automation opportunities and implement standard automation tools for streamlining planning, submissions, and controls to monitor capital expenditure. Further extended these solutions in enabling effective capital management processes.
    • Implement feedback loops to ensure learning and adaptation from previous projects is available in a centralized repository across the Group and help build better investment skills within the MTN Opcos. 
    • Responsible for Group Reporting on Consolidated Capital Management. Ensure regular and accurate reporting based on standardised metrics, KPIs and other agreed goals.
    • Manage a high performing team by providing supervisory oversight, role clarity, training, performance and career development. 
    • Set key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular performance feedback through a well-defined and implemented performance review program.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education: 

    • Minimum of 4-year tertiary degree in Finance/ Commerce/ Accounting (mandatory).
    • Qualified Chartered Accountant/Chartered Finance Analyst/Relevant Financial Management Professional Qualification (preferred).
    • Postgraduate qualification/MBA (Advantageous).
    • Relevant certification / accreditation / membership with professional body in Finance/Accounting/Corporate Finance bodies.

    Experience: 

    • 5 years senior management experience or more; with at least 3 years in the ICT Industry-Finance domain (understanding emerging markets advantageous).
    • Experience working in a global/multinational enterprise in a medium to large enterprise.

    Engineer - Access Deployment Technology Information

    Key Performance Areas: Core, essential responsibilities / outputs of the position (KPA's)

    Task Complexity: 

    • (BTS site build, Transmission, Corporate/Enterprise) and upgrades. 
    • Ensure that projects are built according to the laid down specifications. These projects include new site builds, Transmission installation, corporate/ enterprise projects and upgrades to existing sites.
    • Ensure accurate site surveys and verification of all site plans and quotes.
    • Ensure that QA standards are met according to laid down specifications. 
    • Ensure subcontractors perform according to laid down specifications.
    • Ensure that all special conditions and landowner requirement are adhered to. 
    • Ensure sites are accepted according to MTN’s acceptance procedures. 
    • Ensure sites meet minimum requirements for Commercial Acceptance. 
    • Ensure that Financial Acceptance takes place with required deliverables.

    BTS implementation/upgrades and commissioning 

    • Ensure that Radio Equipment is installed and commissioned to MTN’s standard as agreed upon.
    • Ensure sites implemented into our network meets required criteria .(Technical Acceptance) 
    • Ensure that BTS subcontractor performs according to laid down specifications. 
    • Ensure that final acceptance as per the contractual milestones. 

    Transmission link acceptance 

    • Ensure transmission (MW/FTTx) links are built and accepted according to agreed-upon performance standards and quality. 
    • Ensure correct termination of transmission at uplink node. 

    Radio base station site activation 

    • Ensure proper co-ordination with all parties for successful integration of new site into the existing network. 
    • Ensure sites get handed over for Maintenance as per agreed upon guidelines. 

    Special Radio Projects 

    • Assist in any other tasks allocated by management reagrding access deployment projects
    • Ensure installation of all special projects Radio equipment - e.g. cell-enhancers and mobile BTS’s is compliant and meets design criteria and MTN BTS spec

    Supervisory / Leadership / Managerial Complexity: 

    • Monitor contractor compliance to installation and build policies.
    • Monitor contractor compliance to set standards and specification regarding site build

    Role Complexity: 

    • Dependant on performance of contractors and vendors.

    Authorities:

    • To take any recommended action (as per vendor documentation) in the repair / maintenance of any equipment. .

    • In any way jeopardise the integrity of the network. 
    • Does not comply with MTN specification. 
    • Fails to meet safety needs. 
    • To approve/reject plans for all new sites and upgrades 
    • To accept the completed sites from the contractors, after any outstanding observations have been rectified. 
    • To accept (or refuse) transmission links from service providers, vendors and Telkom.

    Minimum Requirements 

    Education:

    • Minimum 3 year diploma/degree in Electrical Engineering(preferably light current)
    • Fluent in English
    • Code 8 EB drivers licence

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 3 Years experience in the telecommunication industry (preferably in the Radio & Transmission Implementation environment). Sound project management experience will be advantageous.

    Administrator - Payables Lease and Other Recoveries Finance

    Key Deliverables:

    • An understanding of Leases and all associated charges
    • Loading of Revenue Leases and processing of invoices
    • Preparing the revenue recovery recons (revenue recoveries / revenue share)
    • Liaising with AP Team regarding creditors amounts due (if amount is due from suppliers)
    • Issuing of Statements/Invoices to Lease Customers for revenue recoveries
    • Follow up of outstanding payments with customers (recoveries)
    • Liaising with business units on changes of Revenue Leases
    • Liaising with Lease Customers on Reconciling Items. I.e. Completeness + Accuracy of Leases Invoiced
    • Liaising with Real Estate Team with regard to revenue recoveries on sub-leases
    • Preparing of interconnect set-off reconciliations
    • Driving the timeous submission of interconnect due to and from MTNSA
    • Liaising with the revenue team on interconnect charges to be set-off

    • The ability to work in team with multiple stakeholders through MTNSA
    • Taking ownerships for development and training requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education:

    • Diploma / Certiicate in Accounting / or similar
    • Finance / Accounting degree advantageous

    Experience:

    • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position, in dynamic and fast-moving industries. Telecoms experience an advantage
    • At lease 2 years of financial accounting with revenue accounting advantageous
    • Financial systems knowledge and skills – Oracle, Hyperion, ERP system
    • Complex Reconciliations Skills
    • Experience in engaging with multiple stakeholders (Internally) and externally (Customers, suppliers, auditors, etc.)
