    Lecturer - Commerce Education (Accounting/ Economics/ Business Studies) (Alice campus) - Ref No: S 119

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES:

    • Doctoral degree in Education with specialisation in Accounting/Economics/Business Studies.
    • A professional teaching qualification
    • At least 3 years’ experience teaching Accounting/Economics/Business Studies in higher education for Lecturer.
    • A track record of DHET accredited research publications commensurate with the academic rank of Lecturer.
    • Evidence of postgraduate supervision experience at least at Master’s level.

    DUTIES:

    • To teach undergraduate and postgraduate students in the area of Accounting/Economics/Business Studies, and any Education Studies Modules
    • To take part on issues of curriculum renewal
    • Supervising postgraduate students
    • To carry out research and produce research publications
    • To engage in community outreach and collaborative
    • To participate in training and assessing student teachers for and during school-based work integrated learning

    Clinical Facilitators Midwifery X2

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Master’s degree in nursing
    • Diploma/Postgraduate Diploma/Degree in Nursing Education

    ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Current registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse
    • Current registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Nurse Educator, Assessor and Moderator

    MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

    • Five years of clinical working experience in a Midwifery unit/setting.

    ADDED ADVANTAGES:

    • Skills in clinical mentorship
    • Experience in community engagements
    • Advanced computer skills
    • Knowledge of teaching and learning and clinical facilities/technologies
    • Development of clinical teaching and assessment material for students

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Demonstrate skills to students and support them during clinical accompaniment, feedback for formative clinical assessment and capture marks.
    • Accompany and mentor students in the clinical setting (within the 75/25 clinical/theory ratio).
    • Prepare and conduct summative clinical assessments.
    • Identify, develop, and implement projects that are tailored for the community, with student involvement.
    • Undertake clinical research and publish articles.
