    Sales Finance Analyst

    Position Summary

    • To Provide financial support to customer business teams: providing financial/economic analysis to assure/facilitate the optimal use and control of commercial resources. Also ensures that sales operations adhere to financial, legal requirements and Nestlé Accounting practices.

    A day in the life of a Sales Finance Analyst :

    • Provide financial support and manage the forecast of Net Net Sales, Total Trade spend, Allowances and Customer Contribution to ensure alignment with monthly business planning and the Dynamic Forecast.           
    • Participate in the development of the customer and channel strategy. (Modern trade, traditional, eCommerce etc.)
    • Ensure governance of order to cash cycle and trade activity process with the relevant stakeholders
    • Ensure that Pre & Post promotional evaluations are performed timeously and accurately.
    • Provide financial support to Category Account Managers in their preparation of evaluations.
    • Provide analysis of evaluations vs prior year, across categories and across customers to ensure optimal use of funds.
    • Leverage Customer Contribution Statements (CCS) as a management tool by providing analysis pertaining to mix impact, and clear understanding of the CCS drivers.
    • Custodian of internal controls and assurance that trade spend practices comply with internal and external guidelines.
    • Partner with relevant functions to ensure transparency, alignment and proactive collaboration on Trade Spend.
    • Partner with Customer Finance organization to facilitate discussion on order to cash payment cycle and to provide financial guidance in customer negotiations   .
    • Improve Customer Sales Team business acumen through training and ongoing Finance and Sales Analysis.

    What will make you successful

    • 3-5 years relevant experience
    • BCom Degree/Diploma – BCom Sales & Marketing, Finance or related
    • Auditing, CA, CIMA or FMCG experience
    • Experience in commercial finance functions
    • Experience in management accounting with knowledge and understanding of financial justifications, Return on Investments and Price, volume, Mix analysis.
    • Basic knowledge and understanding of Power BI or similar.
    • Good communication skills and stakeholder engagement
    • Results focus and strong Business acumen

    Millwright

    Position Summary

    • With a history spanning over 150 years, Nestlé didn’t become the world’s leading food and beverages brand by chance. Perfection is at the heart of what we do, and our people are always looking for the next big idea to cement our status. We are now looking for a Millwright to be based in Harrismith Factory. 
    • In this role you will be responsible to install, maintain and improve both electrical and mechanical equipment. Ensure efficient, safe operation of machinery by setting and adjusting devices to within allowed tolerances.

    A day in the life of a Millwright:

    • Complete the necessary administrative tasks for AMM, SHE, CDM and MDWT.
    • Interact with production, Suppliers and contracting staff.
    • Coaching and mentoring of technical operators and apprentices.
    • Carry out assigned planned maintenance required on plant.
    • Incumbent must be pro-active and have predictive mindset during his/her condition-based maintenance routine checks.
    • In both electrical and mechanical disciplines, install, service, repair and maintain existing and new equipment.
    • Attend to electrical and mechanical faults/breakdowns within the factory.
    • Basic troubleshooting (Problem solving skills) in instrumentation and automation (PLC’s and SCADA systems).
    • Programming and faultfinding on VSD’’s and soft starters.
    • Monitor planned instrument calibration for the production lines.
    • Root cause analysis of repetitive faults; implement corrective measures.
    • Participate or lead ‘Continuous Improvement’ teams (AWG or MWG) to improve equipment reliability and performance.
    • Maintain high quality execution of work and 5S before and after every intervention
    • Ensure vertical machine start-up and availability for production targets to be met.
    • Undertakes to work shift, standby and overtime as per company requirements.
    • Electrical panels must be closed and always locked and kept in a neat and clean condition complete with a set of as built wiring diagrams.
    • Comply to machinery safety standards and follow Nestle’s safe ways of working - Always Adhering to Safe Working Permit procedures (e.g., confined space, working at height, hot work, LOTO etc.).
    • Ensure SAFETY and QUALITY risks are immediately eliminated with no compromise.
    • Correct or request for correction on errors on electrical and mechanical drawings, update accordingly.
    • Alignment of goals to achieve NCE objectives.

     What will make you successful?

    • Matric, N6 or Diploma in Electrical Engineering and a Trade test
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in both Electrical and Mechanical disciplines.
    • Fast learner with an open mind
    • Good problem solving skills and team work
    • SAP knowledge
    • Basic working knowledge of PLC’s.   
    • Preferably have a Certificate of Registration as an ‘Installation Electrician.
    • Servced Apprenticeship and qualified with a Millwright Trade Certificate(Electro-Mechaician)

    Assistant Factory Controller - Mosselbay

    Position Summary

    • Provide efficient, effective and accurate costing support and advice to meet business (Corporate, Division and factory) objectives, consistent with Nestle policies.

    A day in the life an Assistant Factory Controller:

    Decision Support:

    • Provision of accurate and timely detailed product costings. Variance analysis and reporting (weekly, monthly, yearly). Assist with Preparation of the Standard Cost Budget and Revisions and submit on a timely basis
    • Co-ordination and Involvement in new product development teams – costings for feasibility studies.
    • Provision of accurate monthly Actual Cost Calculation with consistent adherence to Period End Close timelines. Ensure that the Nestle Costing Standards Guidelines and Methodologies are observed and applied consistently.
    • Validate and analyze financial and accounting information pertaining to the factory for Management and employees. Involvement with all departments in Continuous Improvements initiatives.
    • Involvement in shop-floor control, daily process order variance meetings with production department Management Teams. Supporting Factory Controller in decision support activities such as, what if analysis, EBA calculations etc. Ashok Projects. Monitor and Control factory fixed cost.

    Operational:

    • Ensure audit guidelines and Nestle Accounting policy is observed.
    • Education of shop-floor staff in use of SAP to improve material/labour control.
    • Maintenance of data integrity for SAP
    • Implement procedure to avoid write offs and ensure that obsolete and redundant materials are identified and written off in accordance with head office directives.
    • Preparation of Milk Pricing (Milk Factories only)
    • Actively involved in implementing the Companies environment and safety policies.
    • Other tasks and responsibilities (As appropriate)

    What will make you successful?

    • Bachelor’s Degree or Honours Degree in Accounting / Costing Management or appropriate financial qualification.
    • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA (SA) or CIMA or ACCA) will be an added advantage.
    • Prior experience in Accounting / Finance function (e.g. Costing, ideally within a factory or supply chain)
    • Fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry or manufacturing experience
    • Experience within a network organization (internal and external providers)
    • Proficiency in English and language of the market (where applicable)
    • SAP experience
