Senior Infrastructure Engineer

• An exciting opportunity has become available for a suitably qualified and experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer. 

Minimum Requirements

• 5 Years experience in a similar position
• MCSE / MCITP
• F5 and/or Fortinet
• CCNA / CCNP
• JNCIA / JNCIS / FCNSA qualification
• Linux+ would be an added advantage
• Experience in managing Asterisk and Avaya Enterprise Voip services
• Exposure to writing scripts
• Extensive experience/exposure and knowledge of IP networking and protocols
• Exposure to EMC SAN’s,Dell SAN’s,HP SAN’s and RecoverPoint
• VMware VCP

Purpose of the role:

Embedded Software and Electronic design. Maintenance of all documentation for projects that are assigned. Research into new technologies to improve performance and reliability of products.

Responsibilities include:

• Working on new projects
• Embedded Software Design
• Electronic design of embedded hardware systems
• Investigations

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree / BTech or National Diploma in Electric / Electronic Engineering
• 5 to 10 years relevant work experience
• Development and troubleshooting on embedded targets
• Solid programming experience in C or C++
• Proven experience in embedded systems design with multitasking real time operating systems
• Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools and peer review
• Excellent knowledge of coding techniques, IP Protocols, interfaces, and hardware subsystems
• Adequate knowledge of reading schematics and data sheets for components

Purpose of the role:

• Design, Develop, Present, Support and Administer Software Solution Applications

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 3 - 5 Years, experience in these technologies:
• Web Front-End and API (C#) and
• Mobile Applications - Xamarin (Android and Windows) and
• Front-End Web Development (Angular JS, Bootstrap, Node JS, other JS Frameworks) and
• Azure App Service (Management) and
• Azure DevOps (Code Management, Versioning and Deployment) and
• Azure MSSQL Server 2016 (Tables / Stored Procedures) and
• Cloud BI and Reporting.
• Maintain specification documentation and diagrams for software products.
• Understanding Engineering Standards and Projects.
• Degree / Diploma and Industry Certificates in the above Technologies.
• Knowledge of Engineering Standards and Projects.
• Interest in learning about integration of IoT Technology into software development.
• As required from time to time, participate in any project planning, scoping, design, development, testing and support as may be required.
• Attend meetings with external suppliers and partners to stay up to date with new product development.
• Keeps up to date with new technological developments in software design and recommend these to the team (s). Ensure all work is conducted in a manner compliant with ISO 9001:2008.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage code releases and improve the performance of applications (both functional and deployment)
• Builds automated deployments using configuration management technology
• Deploys new modules, upgrades and fixes to environments across the SDLC
• Documents and completes knowledge transfer to support
• Validates deployments
• Take responsibility of tasks and projects assigned and make the necessary corrections to bring these projects into alignment with business expectation.
• Report on Software project deliverables to ensure all stakeholders/ team leaders are kept up to date on progress and ensure that deadlines are met.

Minimum Requirements:

• Completed or studying towards a Diploma or Degree
• 2-3 years’ experience working as a developer and/or DevOps -engineer.
• Intermediate technical experience with SQL, C#, .NET, Windows Server, PowerShell and web-based systems.

Preferred:

• Practical experience with CI/CD technologies, automated deployments and source control.
• Strong understanding of setting up and managing Production and UAT environments.
• Good understanding of Agile and scrum processes.
• Good understanding of any of the following Build Servers (TFS, Jenkins, Team City).
• Solid understanding of IIS.
• Knowledge of Windows Servers, SQL Server and Docker.
