    Sr Analyst, Application Support

    The right candidate will work on a team of software specialists focused primarily on our Windows environments. The team uses procedures, scripts, database queries, and tools to resolve application issues. We also work very closely with our business partners communicating information about system health, outages, or status of support requests.

    What you will bring:

    • Ability to automate through scripting and configuration management; have a deep understanding of scripting languages like Powershell, Batch, and command line tools

    Windows server operating system experience

    Working knowledge of the following technologies:

    • Internet Information Services (IIS)
    • Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
    • Microsoft Failover Cluster Manager
    • Microsoft SQL Server
    • Ability to craft basic SQL queries for analysis and troubleshooting
    • Working knowledge of Splunk is a plus
    • Working knowledge of Rundeck is a plus
    • Working knowledge of Remedy or other similar help desk software
    • Basic VMware or virtualization knowledge and experience
    • Basic knowledge of networking
    • Are an effective organizer and solve technical problems at various levels of difficulty and can document the process and resolution
    • Can work both independently and as a member of collaborative teams
    • Enjoy helping others and share a strong sense of ownership and responsibility
    • Monitoring of application performance and environmental uptime.
    • Are interested in sharing ideas with teammates
    • Thrive in a collaborative environment
    • A degree in computer science or related degree path

    • Work directly with the Infrastructure team to support the Development and Business teams to keep the application running
    • Identify issues and coordinate with the correct groups to help resolve problems

    • Drive innovations on the team, always looking for performance improvements
    • Provide recommendations to streamline existing processes and procedures
    • Research, troubleshoot, diagnose, and recommend solutions to simple or complex technical problems
    • Use trouble shooting skills to solve software or application issues
    • Focused primarily on Windows based technologies with ability to learn and grow into new technologies as needed to support additional applications
    • Occasional night and weekend work with on-call rotation expected

    Compliance Specialist

    What We'll Bring
    To provide group-wide accurate, expert, specialist, relevant, quality regulatory compliance advice, compliance review and assessment services for all TU Africa regions. Responsible for the development and overseeing of a compliance program whilst striving to build and ensure a culture of compliance within the organisation which reflects to all outside parties.

    What You'll Bring

    • Assist Management in executing applicable regulatory requirements by identifying them and making them aware of their responsibilities relating to compliance.
    • Perform assessments of regulatory impact on the organisation, create gap analyses, rate risks of regulatory requirements for the implementation of monitoring and review programmes.
    • Draft compliance related policies and procedures.
    • Train and educate the business on their roles and responsibilities as it relates to all compliance activities.
    • Facilitate the development and approval of compliance risk management plans for the organisation in accordance with generally accepted compliance principles and standards.
    • Conduct routine formal independent compliance risk management activities by developing an effective compliance risk assessment plan and present to management for approval. Monitor compliance with applicable regulatory and industry requirements by implementing the plan and prepare monitoring reports for the business.
    • Develop, implement and execute a formal risk-based subscriber monitoring program to establish compliance with regulatory requirements throughout the lifecycle of the subscriber agreement. Plan and conduct compliance risk assessments, document and report on findings and drive implement recommendations.
    • Facilitate the implementation of the enterprise risk management programme and report on material risks to compliance management.
    • Where required, act as regional coordinator for the enterprise business continuity programme, monitor and report on compliance with the programme’s quarterly deliverables and requirements.
    • Where required, prepare statutory compliance reports for management review and submission.
    • Where required, accompany business to client visits to address any compliance related queries and/or training.
    • Where required, attend industry and/or regulatory meetings or workshops to represent TransUnion’s compliance function.

    Impact You'll Make

    • Diploma or Advanced qualification in compliance/internal audit or related field
    • Operational compliance/internal audit background and 3-4 years of experience
    • Understand generally accepted compliance principles and standards
    • Knowledgeable of legislation applicable to the business, e.g. National Credit Act, Protection of Personal Information Act
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong computer literacy
    • Ability to create and facilitate presentations and training
    • Analytical and problem-solving attitude
