ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role is a fixed term contract position.

• As a Supervisor Operations you will be responsible to supervise the safe and efficient execution of Mining Operations.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• Supervision of people reporting directly to you in a production section, inclusive of time management of employees and discipline in the work place;
• Achieve monthly targets;
• Initiate and integrate production planning sessions with other mine departments;
• Manage feedback and execution of abovementioned planning to ensure production of quality ore at determined volumes;  
• Develop and implement continuous improvement techniques to enhance production functionality.   

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in trackless mining or underground mining and at least 5 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity;
• Mining production experience in underground mining operations is essential;
• Experience in MS Office and SAP will be an advantage;
• Drill & Blast and Development experience is advantageous; 

Qualifications for this role are:

• Grade 12 with Mathematics;
• Supervisor Certificate of Competency is essential;
• A valid underground blasting certificate for Metalliferous Mines is essential;
• Valid driver’s license is essential;
• Mine Overseer certificate will be advantageous.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role is a fixed term contract position.

• As an Operator Drill Rig you will be responsible to safely drill blast holes by means of a Drill Rig.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• Perform asset care activities as required to the 282 Drill including accurate and timeous feedback and documentation to all stakeholders;
• Complete prestart inspection checklists for the S2 Drill, tools, other equipment, and work areas. Verify lubrication system. Complete and sign prestart checklist;
• Report problems and make recommendations to Supervisors;
• Report to control room and charge hand on any breakdowns or planned or unplanned standing times;
• Report to the control room the start and end of shift, engine and procession hours and power pack;
• Complete and submit operators report to the control room;
• Repair and report immediate breakdowns;
• Follow end of shift park procedure.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following

• A minimum of 3 years’ relevant working experience in a mining environment;

Qualifications for this role are:

• Grade 12 with Mathematics;
• Epiroc 282 Drill rig license is essential and Epiroc S2 Boomer Drill Advanced Training certificate is advantageous
• Valid drivers Licence is essential;
• Competency A Certificate is advantageous.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role is a fixed term contract position.

• As an Operator Charging Crew you will be responsible to safely assist with charging up of drilled holes with explosives and accessories.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• Prepare Primers in the Primer bay;
• Handle explosives in the mining environment;
• Destroy old explosives in an underground workplace;
• De-water and de-sludge blast holes;
• Handle explosives in the mining environment;
• Charge shot holes with: primed explosives, bulk explosives, cartridge explosives and accessories;
• Barricade charged faces;
• Assist with blasting operations (Blast Guards, etc).

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Minimum 1 years’ relevant experience in a mining environment;

Qualifications for this role are:

• Grade 12 with Mathematics Literacy;
• Competency B and C Certificate is advantageous;
• Valid driver’s license is essential.
