Systems Analyst (SAP) at Praesignis

Job Description

• We are looking for an experienced Systems Analyst to join a complex technology environment. The successful candidate will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical delivery, working closely with stakeholders, Product Owners, DevOps teams, Developers, Engineers and Project/Programme teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyse and validate business requirements and translate them into detailed user stories and system requirements.
• Manage and prioritise requirements backlogs, define acceptance criteria and measures of success.
• Collaborate with Product/Service Owners and Tribe Leads on solution scope, roadmaps and delivery planning.
• Translate business requirements into detailed system requirements covering functionality, interfaces, integrations and technology dependencies.
• Use UML/BPMN and business analysis tools to document processes, requirements and integrations.
• Work closely with DevOps, Developers, Engineers and Scrum Masters throughout solution design and delivery.
• Identify and define system integration points, APIs and interfaces across technology stacks.
• Facilitate stakeholder reviews, governance forums, solution design sessions and Scrum meetings.
• Continuously improve the quality and clarity of system requirements.
• Define manual testing strategies, test cases and testing frameworks.
• Lead manual testing, analyse results and provide feedback to development/DevOps teams.
• Monitor system stability and resilience during testing and in production.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and assist with resolving issues and change requirements.
• Conduct peer reviews and contribute to problem-solving across the broader team.
• Support the development of business cases, including solution characteristics and effort estimations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 5–8 years' experience in Systems Analysis, Systems Design and/or Solution Design.
• Background in software development or software engineering.
• Experience working in complex, integrated environments.
• Strong experience with SQL / T-SQL.
• Experience with REST and SOAP Web Services.
• Experience with Java, C# or similar programming languages.
• Strong understanding of APIs, system interfaces, XML and JSON.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Proven experience working in Agile environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Advantageous

• Experience within large-scale or regulated environments.
• SAP experience.
• Experience with enterprise system integrations and complex technology landscapes.
