Job description

DGC Durban is looking for an experience Technical Writer to generate DGC content, to ensure that quality assurance standards are consistent and maintained at all times and to ensure that the requirements of various stakeholders around documentation, help and other content are met.

Technical Outputs

• Creates Marketing Documents
• Assists with any additional Copywriting requirements and tasks.
• Ensures that all changes and updates are made, and that the document is kept up to date at all times.
• Ensures that new marketing documents are completed on schedule.
• Ensures that the software described both accurately and in an appropriate tone.
• Ensures the document is accurate, quality assured and free of errors.
• Works towards improving marketing standards and adding creative flair.
• Creates Technical Documentation and ensures that new documentation is completed on schedule.
• Ensures that new documentation is quality assured and free of errors.
• Ensures the desired deliverables are obtained from kick-off meetings and that these are properly documented.
• Keeps all information up to date by liaising with all relevant parties.
• Liaises with relevant parties to ensure that the software and documentation are congruent.
• Liaises with stakeholders to ensure that documentation is usable and readable.
• Process Improvement - Improves rate of error resolution and reduces number of errors and defects.
• Works to bring the documentation library up to modern standards to reduce errors.
• Works to reduce the amount of time to produce documentation.
• Researches Rules, Software, and Standards
• Develops an understanding of the current and related company software.
• Develops their writing style to meet the expected professional standards.
• Researches and develops an understanding of the software before creating the documentation.
• Support Advises on and resolves defects and errors timeously.
• Completes Certification documentation and administration.
• Resolves products queries.
• Supporting Dev, Dev QA, BA and Testing with general queries.
• Supporting other Technical Writers with queries, reviews and assistance.

DGC Durban is looking for a qualified and experienced Mathematician who will be responsible to model the statistics and mathematics for our products. Digital Gaming Corporation (DGC) is a global organization that delivers cutting edge gaming software to the land based casino industry. Technical Outputs

Developed Mathematical Models:

• Calculates the game maths, within the agreed deadline, to ensure that they are correct.
• Decides on the optimum game strategy for the new game, based on understanding of the game, within the agreed deadline.
• Develops or finds tools to ensure the game maths is correct.
• Extracts the game rules from the Game Specification Document to determine the exact mathematics necessary for the game, within the agreed deadline.
• Handled support queries for mathematic models
• Provides support for queries on Game Rules for Service Managers, IT and Game Development.
• Responds to all supporter calls and follows up in professional manner.
• Research and Develop New Mathematical Tools or Processes
• Continuously improves any new tools that are being used.
• Develops and researches new and faster ways to do mathematical calculations.
• Provides feedback to Team Lead on the latest technical information
