    Process Fitter

    Job Specification:

    Key Performance Areas:

    Health and Safety

    • Continuously adhere to and engage in safe working practices.

    Maintenance

    • Carry out breakdown repair work on all plant and equipment.
    • Carry out planned and preventative maintenance schedules as required on equipment within the area of responsibility.

    • Identify potential reliability issues, and poor engineering practices, and take appropriate actions to rectify such deviations

    Problem-solving

    Reporting

    Minimum Requirements:

    Experience:                                                                   

    • Have at least 3 years of experience in processing plant machinery in an FMCG or manufacturing facility.
    • FMCG Plant Maintenance experience is essential.
    • Experienced and knowledgeable with pneumatics.
    • Working experience in conveyance systems.
    • Working experience in moulding and forming equipment.
    • Experienced working on gas-fired ovens will be an added advantage

    Qualifications:

    • Matric essential
    • Trade-tested Fitter at an accredited training facility
    • Minimum of N4 Technical Qualification with Mechanical Trade Theory

    Technical Operator

    Key Areas of Impact:
    Production lines and maintaining machinery

    • Ensure operators carry out changeovers on machinery as per the relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
    • Ensure operators calibrate settings on machinery as per the relevant SOPs. Record optimal machine settings and update machine files.
    • Do problem solving on machinery as per the relevant SOPs to ensure that product quality and machine output are achieved.
    • Escalate any continuing malfunctions after having followed standard trouble shooting.
    • Develop autonomous maintenance schedules.
    • Ensure operators and packers perform autonomous maintenance (AM) such as cleaning, greasing, lubricating and completion of check sheets to reduce downtime and enhance machine life.
    • Plan with production scheduler for preventive maintenance during scheduled down time.

    Short term planning and scheduling

    • Set up production line to run on Shopware as per the production schedule.
    • Ensure that the teams have the correct and sufficient resources to carry out the daily work load.

    Production targets

    • Follow the correct work method laid down by the Line Manager.
    • Ensure that the relevant manual machinery being used is operated in accordance with the relevant SOPs.
    • Ensure operators set-up is correct and make minor adjustments to machinery to ensure production targets and quality are achieved as per the relevant SOPs.
    • Identify bottlenecks in the operation and work with cross-functional teams to eliminate any.

    Quality and Hygiene

    • Adhere to quality at source standards.
    • Ensure the relevant SOP’s are adhered to, to ensure that the equipment, environmental hygiene and General Maintenance (GMP) standards are met or exceeded.
    • Log the cleaning and sanitizing of all equipment and machinery on the required logs as per the relevant SOP.

    Good Manufacturing Practice and Health and Safety

    • Ensure that safety procedures are followed as per the relevant SOPs.
    • Use the correct safety equipment when needed as determined by individual work areas.
    • Identify possible hazards, eliminating or reporting them to the Line manager or Health and Safety representative.
    • Assume role as member of safety team.
    • Ensure that the work area is kept clean and tidy at all times in accordance with the relevant 6S and GMP standards.
    • Ensure that personal hygiene and dress code are to the required standards as per the relevant SOPs.
    • Initiate and participate in RCA sessions and own the RCA process on the situation level.

    Material and Stock control

    • Verify the accuracy of all stock issues to works orders in Kanban and transit locations by following the relevant SOP’s.
    • Ensure any leftover materials at the end of production runs are accounted for and dealt with in accordance with the relevant SOP’s.
    • Ensure all variances outside of the limits set are investigated and discussed with the Section Leader.
    • Assist with Kanban stock variance investigation.
    • Ensure that either any stock inaccuracies identified by team member is investigated and actioned and per the relevant SOP.
    • Audit the daily tasks of employees to ensure that stock accuracy is maintained.
    • Action relevant stock adjustments within the allotted time.
    • Ensure that all obsolete or rejected stock is isolated and actioned as per the relevant SOP.

    Industrial Relations

    • Ensure that operators and packers adhere to the company policies and procedures.
    • Communicate to the team any new or changed policies.
    • Deal with any problems or grievances within the team.
    • Report to the production controller any major individual or team problems within the team that have or could result in the disciplinary or incapacity procedure being used.
    • Perform the necessary counselling sessions with team members when necessary.

    Green Area

    • Preparing for the green area meeting and following an agenda, which covers all the relevant KPA’s of the team.
    • Giving the team constructive feedback and criticism where necessary.
    • Initiating discussions, which may lead to incremental productivity improvements.
    • Through the use of questioning techniques get all members involved in the team meetings.

    Process Engineer

    • Process Engineering: P&IDs, processing and process control, heat transfer, sound knowledge of mass and energy balance, data analysis and statistics, BOM and standard output reviews, Scada, integrity verifications and water reticulation studies.

    Logistics Coordinator

    Job Specification:

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Work with stores team supervisors to ensure sufficient material availability
    • Ensure live recording of incoming material and issues, transfers, and returns

    Accounts Payable Clerk

    • Responsible for the entire procure to pay process within profile.
    • Processing and matching of all invoices using 3 way matching technique
