    Team Assistant (Gauteng - Rosebank)

    Description

    • Ensure compliance with organisational policies by maintaining up-to-date knowledge, participating in training sessions, and proactively sourcing answers to queries on a daily and as-needed basis. 
    • Comply with established processes through accurate implementation, continuous process awareness, and timely resolution of any areas of concern. 
    • Plan and schedule the team’s annual, quarterly, monthly, weekly, and daily activities by reviewing schedules, resolving conflicts, identifying opportunities, inviting relevant stakeholders, and ensuring all necessary documentation is provided before meetings. 
    • Ensure meetings are well coordinated by booking venues, organizing documentation, arranging catering, and setting up technology in advance. 
    • Ensure effective implementation of SHE by delivering comprehensive training, completing training programs, and addressing any identified gaps or non-compliance. 
    • Monitor SHE performance by establishing clear standards, ensuring timely completion of monitoring activities, and resolving issues within defined deadlines. 
    • Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders by facilitating regular communication, exchanging feedback, and supporting collaboration. 
    • Maintain relationships with service providers by understanding and tracking service levels required and monitoring delivery against standards, identifying areas of concern and implementing corrective action monthly and as required.
    • Contribute to the team by actively participating in team events, identifying areas where support is needed, and providing the necessary assistance. 
    • Engage with team members consistently and be an active, dependable presence in daily team activities. 
    • Identify personal development needs and source suitable capacity-building opportunities. 
    • Obtain the necessary approvals and successfully complete relevant self-development activities to enhance skills and competencies. 
    • Support the organization by participating in company-wide events and initiatives.

    Requirements

    • Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent
    • Diploma in operations management, supply chain management, commerce or similar 
    • 3+ years’ experience in administrative role

    Technical Support Technician (North West - Marikana)

    Description

    • Support business technical functions in the application and deployment of electronic initiating systems by reviewing practices, evaluating outcomes, providing feedback and training, and preparing reports as required.
    • Deliver training and assistance to field crews on product application, performance, and optimisation by identifying needs, developing relevant materials, facilitating training sessions, and assessing the assimilation and application of learning.
    • Implement the unit operations plan by understanding planned activities, including projects and key performance indicators, communicating these to relevant stakeholders, and monitoring execution on a daily basis.
    • Track unit performance against targets by identifying progress, highlighting areas of concern, drafting reports, and submitting them quarterly or as required.
    • Monitor performance trends by identifying anomalies and initiating corrective actions on a monthly basis or when necessary
    • Ensure compliance with policies by staying informed through continuous learning, participating in training sessions, and resolving any policy-related queries as they arise.
    • Maintain adherence to standard processes by applying them correctly in daily operations and addressing any deviations or concerns promptly.
    • Identify and propose process improvements by analysing gaps, presenting recommendations to the line manager, and supporting proposals with relevant information.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 with Math’s & Science
    • Driver’s license
    • Blasting Certificate (Surface)
    • 5 + years ‘experience in the application and training of EIS
    • 3+ years’ experience in the drill and blast environment in surface 
    • Experience in fault finding electronic equipment and circuits.

    Advantageous

    • BSc / B Eng in in Mining / Electronic / Electrical Engineering
    • Diploma in Explosive Engineering

    MMU Controller Gr 2 (Mpumalanga - Dorstfontein)

    Description

    • Participate in training sessions and actively seek answers to queries on a daily and as-needed basis. 
    • Comply with operational processes by keeping knowledge up to date, applying correct procedures, and addressing concerns as they arise
    • Ensure safe MMU operation by performing daily pre-start safety checks, inspecting all systems and controls, verifying safe conditions, and reporting any issues to the Site Supervisor. 
    • Take ownership of MMU care by learning the IBIS Control System, identifying abnormal conditions, performing first-line maintenance, maintaining cleanliness, and decontaminating the unit as scheduled. 
    • Assemble primers safely and to specification by collecting materials, referencing blast plans, securing components, inspecting defects, and ensuring proper labeling. 
    • Implement SHE practices by understanding required actions, executing them effectively, and reviewing outcomes within deadlines or as specified by procedures. 
    • Comply with SHE standards and processes by maintaining up-to-date knowledge and consistently adhering to all SHE requirements.
    • Maintain effective stakeholder relationships by liaising with internal and external stakeholders, exchanging feedback, and collaborating as needed. 
    • Manage relationships with service providers by tracking required service levels, monitoring performance against standards, identifying concerns, and applying corrective actions monthly and as needed. 
    • Contribute to team success by participating in team activities, identifying support needs, helping and actively engaging with team members daily. 
    • Pursue self-development by identifying growth areas, seeking capacity-building opportunities, obtaining approval, and completing development activities successfully. 

    Requirements

    • Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent  
    • Code 14 Driver's license (with handling of a manual transmission gearbox) 
    • Professional Driver Permit (PrDP) for Dangerous Goods 
    • Blasting Assistant Certificate 
    • Competency A Certificate
    • 2+ years Code 14 manual transmission gearbox driving experience 
    • 2+ years driving dangerous goods experience
