MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- A Master’s Degree in Homoeopathy;
- At least 3 year clinical experience in homoeopathic practice;
- Specialised knowledge in homeopathic pharmacy and/or medical diagnostics;
- Registration with the Allied Health Professions Council of South Africa (AHPCSA) as a Homoeopath.
ADDITION RECOMMENDATIONS:
- Experience in e-learning.
- Computer literacy in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and internet usage.
- Proficiency in research or tertiary education instruction will be an advantage.
- Teaching experience and/or educational qualifications, preferably in the field of Homoeopathy or medical education.
- Evidence of leadership and managerial skills.
- Experience in curriculum development and mixed mode delivery.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
- Teaching and assessment of modules/subjects in the Department of Homoeopathy.
- Undertaking research activities.
- Supervision of research students.
- Supervision of students in the homoeopathic community Health Centre and/or off-campus clinics.
- Preparation and evaluation of teaching materials.
- Involvement in curriculum development.
- Provision of academic support to facilitate student success.
- Involvement in Community engagement initiatives organized by the department/faculty.
- Administrative and auxiliary duties in line with the above functions.
- Represent the department as necessary on institutional committees and professional forums.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department.
- The successful candidate, if appointed as a Lecturer, will be required to complete a Doctoral degree within 5 years of appointment.

- Demonstrate scholarship of teaching and must have produced/ published in the preceding three years three publication units (e.g. accredited book, chapter in a book, accredited creative output, patent, review article, journal article, peer-reviewed conference proceedings, etc.) in the preceding three years.
- Supervision of at least one postgraduate student at Masters’ level.

Minimum Requirements

SENIOR LECTURER
Minimum Academic requirements
- PhD/D-Tech and undergraduate qualification majoring in Economics
- At least 5 years lecturing experience in Economics, at University level
- Senior academic experience within a University context
- Active participation in professional, industry and or community activities
- Evidence of successful postgraduate supervision, at master's and/or PhD level.
- Should be an established researcher. Demonstrate evidence of continuous research in the form of publications in DHET accredited journals and peer-reviewed conference proceedings, research papers presented at national and/or international conferences; contributions to scholarly books published by reputable publishers, in good standing with DHET and not linked to predatory practices.
- A proven track record of research with having produced/published at least a research output in the preceding three years
- Evidence of external examining/moderating at other higher education institutions at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.

Recommendation
- NRF rating would be considered an added advantage for Senior Lecturer.

LECTURER
Minimum Academic requirements
- Master’s degree and undergraduate qualification majoring in Economics
