    Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

    Job Description

    • Pedros is investing in building software in-house. Our Technology & Innovation team is developing a modern, TypeScript-based platform that powers voucher management, point-of-sale integration, and customer-facing digital products across our franchise network.
    • We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to help design, build, and operate this platform end-to-end, from the API and database layer through to the React front-ends and the infrastructure that runs them in production.
    • This is a hands-on engineering role with real ownership: you will ship features used across the business, take the lead on architectural decisions as the platform grows, and help raise the engineering bar across the team.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Build and maintain features across the full stack, a shared TypeScript API and multiple front-end applications, taking ownership from design through deployment.
    • Design and evolve data models, API endpoints, and access-control rules with correctness, security, and maintainability as first-class concerns.
    • Contribute to our shared component and design-system library, ensuring a consistent, high-quality user experience across applications.
    • Integrate with external systems, including point-of-sale devices, identity providers, and transactional services.
    • Help operate the platform in production: containerised deployments, secrets management, database migrations, and diagnosing issues across the stack.
    • Write clear, well-tested, well-documented code, and participate in code review to uphold engineering standards across the team.
    • Collaborate closely with product and operations stakeholders to translate business needs into reliable software.

    Our Technology Stack:

You should be comfortable working across a modern TypeScript stack and eager to learn the rest. The specific tools below are illustrative examples of each category, not a fixed checklist:

    • Infrastructure – containerisation and orchestration, reverse proxy – example Docker, Docker Swarm, Traefik.
    • Identity – Enterprise identity / federation and auth protocol – Microsoft Entra, OAuth.

    Requirements:

    • 5+ years of solid professional experience building production web applications with TypeScript and React.
    • Strong command of both front-end (React, state management, responsive UI) and back-end (HTTP APIs, relational databases, SQL) development.
    • Good understanding of relational data modelling and writing efficient, correct database queries.
    • Familiarity with authentication, authorisation, and secure handling of sensitive data.
    • Comfort with Git-based workflows, code review, and automated testing.
    • Clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to work effectively on-site with a collaborative team.
    • A track record of owning features or systems end-to-end and making sound architectural decisions.
    • Experience mentoring engineers and raising the quality bar within a team.
    • Practical experience operating applications in production (containers, deployments, observability, incident diagnosis).

    Advantageous:

    • Experience with Bun, Hono, Drizzle, or similar modern TypeScript tooling.
    • Experience with Docker Swarm/Kubernetes, reverse proxies (Traefik/Nginx), or CI/CD pipelines.
