    Reservations Coordinator - George

    • The ideal candidate will have excellent telephonic skills, a flair for up-selling and a keen eye for detail.
    • Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent, a knowledge of MS Office suite and at least 1 years work experience in reservations, sales or customer services. Golf knowledge would be a further advantage.

    Duties include, but are not limited to: 

    • Reservations and enquiries are timeously processed, accurate data captured;
    • Ensure quotes, confirmations and enquires are responded to within the turnaround time;
    • Collating pro-forma invoices and following up of prepayment;
    • Follow up on provisional reservations;
    • Updating reservations according to amendments;
    • Assist with general administrative support to Reservations Team;
    • Ensure all quotes are loaded onto CIMSO;
    • Assist the coordinators with rooming lists for groups/parties;
    • Maintaining the weekly function sheets.

    Golf Concierge

    • In this role you will be responsible for meeting and exceeding our member and guest golfing expectations: ensuring the players receive a world-class experience as expected of a 5-star resort. You will be required to multi-task and perform various general golf duties: welcoming members and guests, ensure all player requirements are met, staging of golf carts, allocation of caddies, act as starter, act as course marshal, driving range operator, drinks cart operator, caddy shack attendant, etc.

    Other operational duties and responsibilities might include: (areas and indicators listed are not exhaustive and may be changed / supplemented to accommodate business needs from time to time):    

    • Stock controls and cash-up,
    • Daily handover reports,
    • Actively manage the golfer experience on the course,
    • Assist golfers with general requirements,
    • Some administrative duties.

    We consider the following as essential and will test / check for examples of achievement or success in these requirements listed:

    • Grade 12 or equivalent,
    • Thorough knowledge of the game of golf (the rules and etiquette, golfer requirements, etc.),
    • A minimum of 1 years’ experience working in a golf environment,
    • The ideal candidate must have a proven record of good people skills, and exceptional customer service,
    • Must be able to comprehend verbal and written instructions, must be able to successfully carry out such tasks with limited supervision,
    • Must be reliable and trustworthy,
    • Must show initiative in line with meeting and exceeding customer expectations.

    Facilities Manager (The Links)

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • The Facilities Manager will ensure that the facilities assigned to his / her portfolio are maintained to the required standards, will manage service providers, and will be responsible for repair & maintenance developments and projects.
    • We are looking to bring into the team someone who has proven success in managing people, operations and finances in line with strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will be demonstrably competent and successful in all the theoretical and practical components to this role.

    KEY QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

    This position requires as a minimum:

    • Grade 12, plus a 3-Year Civil Engineering or Building Degree or Diploma; minimum of NQF6;
    • Advanced competency in MS Office;
    • ERP system software;
    • Fluency in English – written and verbal, accurate spelling and grammatically correct when compiling written documents and material;
    • 5 years’ Project Management experience in the construction industry;
    • 2 years’ experience in managing the maintenance of a multi-faceted facility and infrastructure;
    • General knowledge of local authority and government building regulations, rezoning, health, safety, and environmental regulations;
    • Proven experience of developing and implementing facility management strategies;
    • Clean criminal and ITC record;
    • Legally eligible to work in South Africa.

    Advantageous:

    • Additional language fluency (Xhosa or Afrikaans);
    • Tertiary qualification in any of these:
    • SHEQ management
    • Project management
    • Business management
    • Experience in facilities management software;
    • Experience in setting of and delivering on long-term strategic plans.

    Irrigation Technician

    • The ideal candidate will be a reliable and responsible worker, who passed Grade 12 and has gained at least 2 years’ experience working as an Irrigation Handyman at a golf course irrigation installation company and must have 3 years of golf course maintenance experience. An added advantage will be basic plumbing experience.
    • The ideal candidate must have good hand-eye coordination and must also be able to work after hours to fix irrigation leaks.

    Duties include, but are not limited to: 

    • Ensuring the overall effective functioning of and diagnosing faults on the irrigation system;
    • Carrying out preventative maintenance on pipes and cables;
    • Cleaning and maintaining sprinklers, satellite and pump stations;
    • Ensuring that all sprinklers are fully operational, working according to their arcs and clear of debris.

    Senior Chef de Partie (Classic / Fine Dining)

    • The ideal candidate will have good interpersonal skills, have a friendly attitude towards people, can comfortably and engagingly communicate with colleagues, superiors and guests, and relish the opportunity to wow his clients. 
    • The position requires that the candidate have a minimum qualification of Grade 12 (or equivalent NQF 4 certificate) and 6 months formal chef’s training, coupled with at least 5 years’ experience as a Chef De Partie in a 4*/5* environment. Your experience in fine dining, knowledge of food ordering and costing and computer literacy on MS Office is essential. A Chefs Diploma, HACCP and working knowledge on SAP will be an advantage.
    • You must be able to work in a fast paced, highly pressurised environment, you must be physically and mentally fit and able to do the job, and you must be willing and able to assist with other duties / projects from time to time.

    Duties include, but are not limited to: 

    • Food preparation & presentation to 5 star standards, also noting guest preference / dietary requirements;
    • Contributing ideas and assist in the roll-out of potential additional revenue streams / business opportunities;
    • Assist Sous Chef (e.g. menu writing, trend research, etc.);
    • Par stock, costing, rotation & stock take;
    • Supervision, motivation, training & performance management of staff;
    • Ensure Operating equipment (OE) is well maintained;
    • Adherence to all health & safety requirements, including utmost cleanliness, recycling, pest control & general waste management.

    Commis Chef (Classic / Fine Dining)

    • The ideal candidate will be creative, have a keen eye for detail, be able to work in a fast paced, highly pressurised environment. 
    • The position also requires that the candidate has a minimum qualification of Grade 12 or equivalent, and 6 months formal chef’s training, coupled with at least 1 years’ experience as a pastry chef with bakery focus in a quality production kitchen. Experience within a 4*/5* environment will be advantageous.

    Duties include, but are not limited to: 

    • Food preparation – as per specific area, according to specified menus, standards and in line with costing and portions;
    • Care of operating equipment – cleaning, repair, storage;
    • Adherence to all health & safety requirements including utmost cleanliness, recycling, pest control & general waste management.

    Chef de Partie (Pastry)

    • The ideal candidate will have good interpersonal skills, have a friendly attitude towards people, can comfortably and engagingly communicate with colleagues, superiors and guests, and relish the opportunity to wow his clients. 
    • The position requires that the candidate have a minimum qualification of Grade 12 or equivalent, and 6 months formal chef’s training, coupled with at least 3 years as a Demi Chef in a 4*/5* environment . Computer literacy on MS Office, SAP, will be an advantage.  
    • You must be able to work in a fast paced, highly pressurised environment, you must be physically and mentally fit and able to do the job, and you must be willing and able to assist with other duties / projects from time to time.

    Duties include, but are not limited to: 

    • Food preparation & presentation to 5 star standards, also noting guest preference / dietary requirements;

    Golf Cart Mechanic - George

    • The successful applicant will have to ensure that the Fancourt cart fleet and GPS units are maintained and in satisfactory condition.
    • The position also requires that the candidate has a minimum qualification of Grade 12 or equivalent, a valid drivers’ license, and 3 years’ experience in a Golf Maintenance workshop and/or basic mechanical knowledge obtained in a workshop. Experience in the repairing of golf carts will be advantageous.

    Duties include, but are not limited to (areas and indicators listed are not exhaustive and may be changed / supplemented to accommodate business needs from time to time):   

    • Provide input into the workshop budget and take full responsibility of the equipment and ordering of stock,
    • Repair and maintain golf cart equipment and machinery,
    • Make sure operations are carried out to the highest possible environmental and efficiency standards,
    • Plan, allocate and evaluate work carried out by the Golf Cart Technician and Golf Cart Attendants,
    • Assist the golf cart fleet maintenance team as needed,
    • Perform other duties as assigned,
    • Carrying out preventative maintenance and ensuring that all machinery and equipment is serviced regularly;
    • Adherence to health and safety standards.
