    HR Coordinator

    KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Establish and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders.
    • Support with HR projects where required
    • Coordinate Recruitment and Psychometric administration.
    • Plan and conduct new employee orientation.
    • Establish and implement Best Operating Practices for HR processes.
    • Compile HR monthly reports for Operations and assist with Budgeting Process.
    • Acting as the first point of contact for any Human Resources issues.
    • Conduct Employee Background screening.
    • Handle employee complaints, grievances and disputes.
    • Administer employee discipline processes.
    • Review and update employee rules and regulations.
    • Maintain the human resource information system and employee database.
    • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting. HR functions.
    • Prepare New Joiner's starter packs.
    • Sit-in on Interviews as and when required.
    • Update and approval of organisation charts on a monthly basis.
    • Support with audit preparation and requirements
    • Support with training coordination for Operations

    What makes you great

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Matric certificate will be required.
    • National Diploma or the equivalent, in Human Resource Management/Development will be required.
    • 3-5 Years' Experience in an HR officer role.
    • Excellent understanding of Labour Relations Legislation, HR Practices, Policies and Procedures will be required.
    • Working knowledge of HR Best Practices throughout the HR Value Chain as well as HR Technology will be advantageous.
    • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
    • Experience in organizing and prioritizing a busy workload.
    • High degree of confidentiality, accuracy and attention to detail.

    Human Resource Manager - South Africa

    What you will enjoy doing

    • Manage and localize ALPLA's global HR strategies to meet South African operational needs.
    • Partner with the Head of HR, Southern Africa, to align HR practices with business goals.
    • Lead the HR function to ensure compliance with ALPLA policies and South African labour laws.

    • Ensure compliance with statutory benefits such as UIF and COIDA.
    • Review and update HR policies to align with global standards and local regulations.
    • Communicate and ensure consistent application of HR policies across operations.
    • Drive employee engagement, workplace culture initiatives, and recognition programs.
    • Support employee well-being through wellness initiatives.
    • Collaborate with the HSE team to integrate HR practices with safety standards and compliance.
    • Drive Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives and develop Employment Equity plans.
    • Oversee HR data accuracy and prepare workforce reports, including headcount and turnover.

    What makes you great

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource, Industrial Relations, or related field, is preferred
    • Postgraduate qualification is advantageous.
    • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a senior HR role, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
    • Experience in the manufacturing or plastics industry is an advantage.
    • South African Board for People Practices (SABPP) Certificate.
    • HRIS: Proficiency in using HR Information Systems and payroll software

    Production Manager (IM PET)

    What you will enjoy doing

    Manage the production team.

    Oversee and coordinate daily production:

    • Lead the area of IM PET and be responsible for the production team.
    • Ensure that all production-related processes are running efficiently and according to the defined framework.
    • Coordinate and monitor data capturing, ensure daily controls and deviation analysis to further improve are being carried out as per procedures.

    Daily Management System and Improvements

    • Execute daily management system in your department and contribute to plants' DMS on a daily/weekly/monthly level
    • Establish abnormality management and work in time on deficiencies to achieve the highest results

    Develop production schedules

    • Plans directs and assigns duties of manufacturing personnel
    • Authorizes overtime/holidays etc., as necessary, meet production goals in cooperation with the line manager

    Be a reliable sparring partner internally and for the customer

    • Cooperate with related departments before, during and beyond your processes of responsibility (with Maintenance, Quality, Planning/Warehouse and Sales)
    • Maintaining support for production machines and equipment and enabling staff to perform autonomous maintenance
    • Conduct/participate in problem-solving for recurring issues or customer complaints. Handle customer complaints in conjunction with QA

    Machine, production equipment setup and new articles:

    • Ensure smooth sampling – according to ALPLA rules – of new moulds
    • Perform proper change management.
    • Contribute to best machine/production equipment set up to maximise performance / TEEP1

    LEAD PRODUCTION TEAM / YOUR AREA

    • Quality and (food) safety mindset
    • Ensure safety, food safety and quality mindset as well as 5S
    • Train staff and develop people
    • Performance management & communication
    • Act as a member of the plant management team

    What makes you great

    • Bachelor/Master or Diploma degree with a clear affinity to operations
    • Minimum of 5 years experience in an international manufacturing company, preferably in plastic packaging
    • Proven track of Leadership experience
    • Deep understanding of cost calculation and performance metrics
    • Professionalism and dedication to excellence in customer care
    • Ability to work independently and with tight deadlines
    • Willingness to work in a challenging environment
    • Proficiency in English; other languages are of advantage
