Vacancies at Au Pair Extraordinaire

Duties: 

• Candidate would need to source as much organic food as possible. There will be little interaction with the family as they run a busy household and are both working parents. Assist with odd jobs, errands, shopping, assistance around the house and admin as well as support with preparation for 2-day workshops. Every now and again there may be a requirement to stay over at the house should the parents be away. In time the assistant will choose weekly recipes from cook books.
• Requirements: Independent, organised, pleasant. Driver’s license and own car is a must, self-starter and to get on with the job

• Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.
• Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.
• Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.
• Must have a clear criminal record
• Must have a passion for children
• Must have Matric
• Must have a South African ID document

• Duties: Full care of the child, feeding snacks and meals, engaging in fun activities, bathing the child. Feed the dogs
• Requirements: Experience with the age group.

• Duties: Light housework (washing, ironing, cleaning, etc) and general childcare (changing nappies, feeding, good sleep/ nap schedule, age-appropriate stimulation), keep children in a good routine
• Special Requirements: Female, 35-45 years, experience with the age group, long term commitment, someone that takes initiative.

• Duties: Homework assistance, test preparation and someone who would be willing to log into chat groups/learning apps to help with assignments and tests.
• Requirements: Preferably a female tutor who can tutor in Maths and English and help with basic Afrikaans and Zulu homework

• Duties: Create and implement an ECD program with focus on Grade R curriculum. Candidate needs to be able to teach a 4 year old substantial educational concepts (with focus on reading and numeracy skills). Family has a nanny so the Tutors responsibility will really be more of education based, not child-minding.
• Requirements: prefer someone with an ECD qualification or any other early primary education qualification.
