    Electrical Design Engineer

    What will you do?

    As an Electrical Engineer, you will collaborate with multiple teams including design, production, manufacturing engineering, sourcing, quality, product regulation and compliance and service. You will provide schematics and designs for electrical wiring systems and components. You will provide creative and technically feasible solutions for cost savings, service issues and product improvements. You will maintain Bill of Materials and documentation to support day to day activities and you will troubleshoot electrical systems on vehicles. You will build strong relationships with both internal and external customers and provide trucks that meet customer requirements and are safe to operate.

    What does it take to be a part of our team?

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent area of study
    • CAD based engineering design experience
    • Superior technical skills and experience with C++/Linux Mentor Graphics, Unigraphics, PLC or similar software
    • Strong mathematics capabilities,
    • Ability to generate creative solutions and translate concepts and information into images.
    • Experience in utilizing fact based data to drive decisions

    Data Engineer

    Data Engineer

    This role will suit an all-round Data Engineer experienced in every step of data flow. Starting from configuring data sources to integrating analytical tools. The data engineer is a technical person who will contribute to architecting, building, testing, and maintaining the data platform as a whole

    Mission

    • Deliver accurate data reliably within the required processing time, ready for processing by analytics applications.

    You will work across multiple business teams to implement new and improve existing systems for:

    1. Extracting data from current sources
    2. Data storing/transition for all data gathered for analytical purposes.
    3. Transformation: Cleaning, structuring, and formatting the data sets to make data consumable for processing or analysis.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Lead/contribute to designing the architecture of a data platform.
    2. Develop data systems tools, customize and manage integration tools, databases, warehouses, and analytical systems.
    3. Data pipeline maintenance/testing.
    4. Machine learning algorithm deployment. Machine learning models designed by our data scientists, deployed into production environments, managing computing resources and setting up monitoring tools.
    5. Manage data and meta-data storage, structed for efficiency, quality and performance.
    6. Track pipeline stability. Monitor the overall performance and stability of the systems.
    7. Keep track of related infrastructure costs and manage these as efficiently as possible, continuously find the balance between performance and cost.

    Preferred qualifications and experience:

    • A Bachelor degree in computer science or engineering related field.
    • 5-10 years relevant experience.
    • Intermediate to advanced SQL optimization, developing ETL strategies.
    • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of database and data warehousing principles (e.g. OLAP, Data Marts, Star Schema, lambda/kappa architectures)
    • Knowledge of working with stream data pipeline frameworks or solutions, e.g. Apache Flink, Beam, Dataflow, Databricks etc. an advantage
    • Knowledge of cloud data platforms is an advantage
    • Experience within the Automotive or manufacturing industry is a plus.
    • Experience with agile or other development methodologies - Agile, Kanban or Scrum 

    Preferred Technical experience:

    •  Implementing data pipelines using cloud infrastructure and services.
    • Implementing event-based systems using tools like Confluent Kafka or Kinesis.
    • Knowledge of CDC pipelines (E.g. Bin logs, Debezium, AWS Database Migration Service (DMS))
    • API integration and development using Python - Fast API, Flask
    • DevOps: Docker (ECS), Kubernetes (EKS), Spark clusters, etc.
    • Database analysis, design & administration.
    • SQL Query optimization and data architecture improvements;
    • DB: PostgreSQL, MS-SQL

    Data Governance Manager

    MISSION

    • Lead and manage all organization-wide data privacy, compliance, and governance activities with responsibility for improving the protection of client sensitive data and information assets.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Advise leadership on security improvement opportunities and strategy.
    • Collaborate with enterprise teams (compliance, data governance, privacy, and cybersecurity) subject matter experts to ensure the protection of sensitive data and information assets.
    • Engage and represent Aculocity with cross-functional committees and working groups as needed to help steer and support data and compliance initiatives.
    • Serve as a point of contact to develop and sustain controls to ensure compliance and security throughout the life-cycle of data and services.
    • Operate cyber-risk management programs across the portfolio of companies.
    • Review new vendor requests and manage the vendor cybersecurity risk assessment process.
    • Enable top-line growth and sustain existing business relationships by ensuring solutions are delivered consistently meeting our organization’s and customers’ security requirements.
    • Support potential RFP/RFI’s process as needed, including all data-related and compliance portions of such projects.
    • Review and respond to all audits, including all data security and compliance client audits and assessments.
    • Focus on establishing and ensuring adherence to an appropriate enterprise data governance framework as well as ensuring compliance with company policies relating to data.
    • Ensure that all portfolio companies are aware of the standards its clients require so that the controls are built into its operations.
    • Serve as a point of escalation for governance, data quality, and data security issues.
    • Work closely with business and functional area leadership to improve the quality and value of core data assets.
    • Respond to information security incidents.
    • Ensure all portfolio companies are aware of the information security roles and responsibilities for all third-party systems.
    • Support the strategic requirements of the department.

    Ideal Qualifications and Qualities

    • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in a major services organization supporting or leading data security, compliance, and privacy programs.
    • Awareness of data governance and compliance practices, with particular focus on privacy, records management, and cybersecurity.
    • Familiarity with industry standard frameworks.
    • Experience with risk management and governance solutions.
    • Results-oriented and able to commit to a direction and drive operations to completion.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage challenging situations in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across all levels and manage relationships across business and functional areas.
    • Ability to develop and sustain cooperative and constructive working relationships.
    • Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, MIS, or Information Management.

    Director of Engineering

    Reporting to the Vice President of Engineering, the Director of Engineering will develop and manage the direction and daily activities of the Company's Engineering team with the focus on people, organization and process. The position will also oversee process improvements to the product development process, lead the development of reporting managers and oversee the development of the others in the department.

    In this role, it is critical to interact with all levels of company management; including operations, purchasing, quality control, sales, marketing and finance. The ability to work closely with key supplier and key customer is essential.

    Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Lead and mentor the Engineering Organization which includes providing technical leadership and direction to engineers and program teams.
    • Train Engineering team to improve the fulfillment of their current role and prepare them for future roles in the company. Training and mentoring these engineers in the use of our full scope of analysis tools.
    • Analyze and resolve problems and provides technical assistance as is necessary.
    • Work extensively with colleagues to produce results within a fast-paced and high pressure atmosphere.
    • Work with project team to develop robust product concepts, design for manufacturability and optimal component cost, maintain or exceed quality expectations, deliver on project timelines and provide superior customer communication and a high degree of sense of urgency in all aspects of the role.

    Qualifications:

    • A Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in engineering is required.
    • A Master’s degree in Engineering management is preferred and will be beneficial in securing this role.
    • The successful candidate will have at least ten years of experience with a minimum of five years proven track record of leading and mentoring a team.
    • The Director of Engineering will possess strong analytical and technical skills to understand business practices.

    Systems Engineer, Powertrain

    What will you do? 

    As a Systems Engineer, Powertrain, you will be responsible for the powertrain technology roadmap. This will include developing, researching, monitoring, and implementing the technological strategy for the powertrain. This person will be responsible for understanding supplier developments, industry needs, and opportunities to improve customer satisfaction.  To facilitate expedient change, this person will also have to develop and maintain an understanding of the current powertrain and the processes used to engineer and assemble it.  Candidate must be able to work in a fast paced environment with changing priorities.
    Responsibilities

    • Acts as responsible Engineer for the Powertrain System
    • Reviews design direction
    • Reviews and monitors industry developments and needs

    • Minimum of Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, Masters in Engineering preferred.
    • Minimum 5 10 years trucking or related industry experience.
    • Minimum of 5 Years’ Engineering Experience with Powertrain System Design, as applied in the Class 8 truck or severe duty service vehicle applications. Experience in and exposure to tooling and fixtures design applicable to Powertrain assembly processes
    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, geometric tolerances, perform tolerance stack-up and component clearance analysis
    • Ability to understand customer needs and requirements and translate these to technical requirements
    • Ability to develop and maintain technical roadmaps
    • Ability to plan and execute project plans
    • Ability to guide and mentor other engineers
