    Wired Communications Sales Manager

    You as a Wired Communications Sales Manager will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Modderfontein, South Africa. You will be managing all the business development and sales activities for HAPG wired communication solutions across all the segments specially in the non-power utility segment such as water, oil and gas, air traffic control, transportation, and different ministries.

    Your responsibilities

    • Adapting and implementing sales strategy for mission critical communication solutions across the assigned territory.
    • Ensuring technical and commercial support for customers. Generating leads and pipeline development.
    • Identifying and developing business opportunities through various channels to market.
    • Qualifying new system integrators targeting different segments.
    • Driving the pre-qualification processes with end users.
    • Contributing to company strategy to reach a leading position with a 25-30% market share in MPLS-TP for mission critical via, winning new MPLS-TP accounts and successfully converting SDH accounts to MPLS-TP.
    • Visiting and engaging with the customer substantially more often to promote our value proposition.
    • Approaching to scan the whole market and identifying new market entry points.
    • Promoting technically MPLS-TP against competing approaches like IP/MPLS, DWDM, Wireless, Industrial automation.
    • Consulting future customers on best migration strategy from SDH to MPLS-TP. Strong networking with End User key stakeholders.
    • Arranging, initiating, and executing together with technical support and services customer promotion campaigns/POCs and demos.

    Your background

    • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, information technology or equivalent. Master’s degree is a business administration is a plus
    • 7 plus years of relevant experience; in fiber optic transmission networks.
    • Cisco Certification CCNP, CCIE is an added advantage.
    • Proven track record in achieving and exceeding Sales target. Proven strong negotiation and communication skills.
    • Knowledge of contractual terms and condition.
    • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.

    Market Manager- Gird Integration

    You as a Market Manager-South Africa, will be part of Power Grids business based in Modderfontein, South Africa and will be reporting to HBU Manager-MEA. To position Hitachi Energy as reputable and reliable engineering company among its clients and increase sales and market share through leading the growth plan initiative.

    Your responsibilities

    • Sales and marketing: -Leading the implementation of Global Business Unit strategies and initiatives at a country and regional level for Egypt and Northern Africa to ensure appropriate sales and marketing efforts within the country. Ensuring the Global Business Unit portfolio is appropriately represented in the local market. Maintaining cost controls for assigned Global Business Unit within the local market.
    • Market coverage: -Managing and is responsible for the demand market for Global Business Unit including third party sales, internal sales, and channels. Managing and is responsible for the Business Unit demand side budget of Egypt and Northern African region.
    • Planning: -Developing business strategies and sales and marketing plans in partnership with local Marketing and Sales teams. Participates in the budgeting process, including preparing the Order Commitment Sheet (OCS), representing the Global Business Unit in the local market.
    • Product marketing: -Coordinating product lifecycle marketing and ensures effective execution in the local market. Coordinating and supporting the factory sales and marketing activities in the country.
    • Market analysis: -Overseeing the market intelligence process ensuring detailed market analyses of market drivers and trends, key competition, and emerging technologies. Producing monthly and ad-hoc reports to monitor market and progress.
    • Resources: -Ensuring local sales teams are provided with necessary training and receive appropriate accreditation. Working together with Territory Sales & Marketing, Global Marketing Unit and Marketing Communication for planning and implementation of marketing activities.
    • Customer relations: -In line with the sales team strategy manages and develops appropriate relationships with customers and key accounts. Serving as escalation point for questions and issues and collects customer feedback and input.
    • Bid and proposal: -Ensuring proposals are developed and approved to enable negotiations. Overseeing quotations to promote optimal outcome. Ensuring all status updates and documentation are accurately tracked in appropriate systems. Taking local responsibility for the Business Unit mix and maintains the accuracy of data for project pipeline and orders received forecast and competitive feedback.
    • After sales: -Organizing and promoting after sales service activities. Ensuring appropriate order handling of products/systems/services. Ensuring contracts are appropriately managed with adherence to payment terms.
    • People leadership and development: -Ensuring that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Coaching, motivating, and developing direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies. Driving and ensuring know-how sharing and cross-collaboration.

    Your background

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
    • More than eight years of experience on Sales in related industries.
    • Sound knowledge of the market and industry (renewables, utilities, industries, EPC).
    • Knowledge of Electric Power System analysis.
    • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
    • Market-oriented and customer-focused attitude expected.
    • Proven ability to develop and manage strong customer relationships.
    • A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, and strong communication skills.
    • Knowledge of Power Quality solutions and offerings
    • Willingness to travel (up to 25%).

    Intern - Supply Chain

    Your responsibilities

    • You are responsible for helping Trade & logistics management team with day-to-day operations activities (imports control, exports control, sourcing, local delivery schedules, trade compliance & administration).
    • You will be trained to be highly proficient and agile in the Supply Chain/Logistics domain and the contract will remains for 12months.
    • You also need to assist on the supply chain side with some of their activities (loading of vendors; SRN and inbound creations as well as some SAP activities).

    Your background
