CORE ACTIVITIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Feed raw materials into production machinery.
• Operate production machinery
• Assemble goods on production lines.
• Monitor the production process.
• Fill and seal Paints
• Carry out basic quality and testing checks.
• Remove, pack and sort materials
• Clean the area and remove production waste in accordance with disposal and recycling policies
• Use lifting equipment and forklift trucks to fulfill orders – for employees with forklift license

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• A Matric qualification or 2 years’ experience in a paint production environment.

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

• Good tinting and colour matching skills.
• Excellent colour vision to enable best tinting and colour matching.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Pick and weigh RM for production batches
• Operate the forklift machine
• Receive stock
• Taking samples for lab testing
• Cycle counts
• Stock takes
• General housekeeping
• And any other reasonable instruction to be issued by immediate supervisor/manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Matric
• Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English
• Mathematic literate.
• One year of experience working with machinery in a manufacturing environment
• Experience operating weighing scales, forklift machines,
• Experience monitoring the quality of raw materials or finished goods
• Experience with material-handling equipment

CORE ACTIVITIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Processing of sales orders.
• Preparing picking and packing lists.
• Arranging logistics for customer collections, local deliveries and exports via road freight, ocean freight and airfreight.
• Invoicing of sales orders for local and export sales.
• Documentation control for returns, credits and debit notes.
• Planning and processing of tinting works orders.
• Ensure customer profiles remain updated inline with PPG Export Compliance rules.
• Preparing quotes and proforma invoices for customers.
• Professionally manage correspondence between PPG and external stakeholders.
• Interact with local and regional commercial teams.
• Provide support and backup for other customer service and administrative personnel.

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:

• Hands-on and a self-starter with a strong work ethic.
• Have good communications skills and interpersonal skills.
• Have good planning and organisational skills.
• Handle stress and work well under pressure in a dynamic environment.
• Be emotionally mature.
• Be a team player in a matrix environment.
• Experience on SAP B1 or similar required.
• Five years of proven experience in a similar role.
• Minimum Grade 12 certificate.
