    Senior Stores Clerk – Africa Export Prep

    PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

    • The purpose of this role is to support the efficient receiving, storage, issuing, and export preparation of consumables and related materials required by Africa Operations. The Senior Stores Clerk – Africa Export Prep is responsible for ensuring that materials are handled accurately, safely, and in accordance with approved policies, procedures, and governance requirements.

    SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDED BUT NOT LIMITED TO

    • Manage the receiving, storage, issuing, transfer, and preparation of export materials in accordance with approved materials management procedures and governance requirements.
    • Receive stock and non-stock items accurately against purchase orders, delivery notes, and relevant system requirements.
    • Escalate stock discrepancies, shortages, damaged goods, and documentation errors to the relevant supervisor for resolution.
    • Maintain inventory accuracy by monitoring stock levels, investigating variances, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring materials are correctly stored and readily available for dispatch.
    • Investigate and assist with resolving stock variances, incorrect issues, and system-to-physical inventory differences.
    • Support Africa Export operations by accurately picking packing, labelling, staging, and verifying materials and documentation to ensure timely and compliant dispatch of goods.
    • Coordinate with internal customers, vendors, delivery drivers, freight forwarders, and Supply Chain stakeholders to meet operational and urgent export requirements.
    • Identify and recommend process improvements that enhance inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, export preparation activities, and overall control effectiveness.
    • Provide excellent customer service and stakeholder support while maintaining professional relationships across internal and external supply chain networks.

    Requirements

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Matric and/or NQF Level 5 Certificate in Logistics, Supply Chain, Stores Management, or a related field.
    • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a stores, warehouse, logistics, or materials management environment.
    • Valid Forklift Licence (mandatory).
    • Basic understanding of inventory control, materials management, and export preparation processes.
    • Experience working with stock control systems and warehouse processes will be advantageous.

    SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

    • Intermediate proficiency—Microsoft suite (Excel, Email, Word) and SAP.
    • Analytical skills.
    • Inventory control and stock accuracy principles.
    • Ability to perform technical tasks or manage first-level responsibilities within the department.
    • Planning and organising skills.
    • Customer services orientation.
    • Ability to identify and solve problems. 

    KNOWLEDGE:

    • Working experience and knowledge in materials management processes and governance requirements.
    • Knowledge and working experience in inventory control and stock accuracy principles.
    • Working experience in stores receiving, issuing, storage, transfer, and dispatch processes.
    • Strong understanding and working experience in export preparation and dispatch requirements.
    • Working experience in SAP inventory and stores transactions.
    • Warehousing safety procedures and material handling practices.

    Artisan Millwright - Site Services

    PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

    • The purpose of this role is to execute planned and breakdown maintenance, improve equipment reliability, minimise plant downtime and support maximum plant availability. The role may require participation in a rotational standby arrangement when operationally required.

    SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDED BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

    • Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on Site Services and Utilities equipment and installations.
    • Execute planned, preventative and corrective maintenance activities within the required timelines.
    • Attend promptly to equipment breakdowns and restore equipment safely and efficiently.
    • Identify and proactively address electrical and mechanical faults.
    • Complete assigned SAP PM work orders accurately and within the required timeframes.
    • Provide daily feedback and confirmation on completed work orders.
    • Plan and organise assigned work to meet weekly and monthly maintenance targets.
    • Communicate maintenance progress, equipment condition and outstanding work to the Site Services Engineering Foreman.
    • Support the maintenance of electrical, gas and water infrastructure.
    • Maintain infrastructure associated with low-security areas, estate grounds, buildings and structures.
    • Liaise with Utilities service providers regarding infrastructure maintenance and supply disruptions when required.
    • Oversee the quality and completeness of work performed by electrical, mechanical and Utilities infrastructure contractors when required.
    • Provide direction to assistants as instructed by the Site Services Engineering Foreman.
    • Work collaboratively with electricians, boilermakers, maintenance employees, contractors, Projects, Engineering and Production teams.

    Requirements

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Completed N3 or equivalent qualification in Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
    • A recognised Millwright Trade Test Certificate.
    • Must have 3 to 5 years’ relevant experience working on similar electrical and mechanical equipment.
    • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Medium Voltage switching.
    • Demonstrated experience in electrical and mechanical fault-finding.

    SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

    • Intermediate proficiency—Microsoft suite (Excel, Email, Word) and SAP.
    • Analytical skills.
    • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
    • Planning and organising skills.
    • Ability to identify and solve problems.
    • Dual electrical and mechanical maintenance capabilities.

    KNOWLEDGE:

    • Sound knowledge and working experience in fitting and electrical practices.
    • Knowledge of planned, preventative and corrective maintenance practices.
    • Ability to complete maintenance interventions safely and to an acceptable quality standard.
    • Understanding and working experience of equipment reliability, plant availability and downtime reduction.
    • SHEQ knowledge—Understand and apply relevant SHEQ practices and procedures.
