    Assurecloud Finance Learner, Midrand

    Key Responsibilities

    Financial processing

    • Collect and process financial data from various sources (bank statements, credit card statements, vendor invoices, emails, online requests).
    • Maintain the cashbook, allocate receipts, process payment journals, reconcile daily bank and cash transactions.
    • Clearing backlog processing
    • Supporting urgent month-end tasks
    • Asset management (Physical identification against the asset register for tagging)

    Statutory Compliance and Audit Support

    • Maintain internal control documentation to be used as support for the audit

    Monthly reporting

    • Assist with ad hoc financial queries as required.

    System

    • Work with finance team to identify and implement improvements to processes or automation opportunities (e.g. Asset management system).
    • Ensure proper documentation of processes and controls (e.g., supplier file management, payment authorisation workflow).

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Financial Management or Accounting

    Experience:

    •  Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
    •  Exposure to VAT will be beneficial.

    Responsibilities:

    Conduct Food Safety inspections

    • Conduct regular on-site inspections of various food establishments, including restaurants, food processing facilities, retail stores, and other food-related premises.
    • Evaluate food handling, preparation, storage, and sanitation practices to ensure compliance with legal and client specific requirements.

    Audit Compliance

    • Verify that food establishments adhere to established food safety and hygiene guidelines, HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) principles, and industry standards.
    • Review documentation and records related to food safety, such as temperature logs, cleaning schedules, employee training records, and pest control reports.
    • Working to procedures the auditor will be required to undertake detailed evaluations of food premises, procedures, and practices against pre-determined standards.
    • Conform to client-specific behaviour requirements during audits/visits.
    • Confirm close-out of disputes where applicable.
    • Fill in the Client Confirmation Slip and NC reports on every audit.

    Reporting and Documentation

    • Using objective evidence gained through the evaluations, the auditor will be required to prepare detailed reports in an accurate and concise manner to formulate findings. In addition, the auditor will be required to report findings verbally to clients.
    • Prepare detailed reports based on inspections and audits, outlining findings, non-compliances, and recommended corrective actions.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all inspections and follow-up actions.
    • Comply with the required turn-around time as per client standard.

    Training and Education

    • Conduct training sessions and workshops for food establishment staff on food safety best practices, proper hygiene procedures, and regulatory compliance.
    • Provide guidance and support to food businesses to help them improve their food safety and hygiene practices.

    Communication and Collaboration

    • Communicate inspection results and recommendations to relevant client representatives, management teams, and stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with other food safety professionals to exchange information and stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

    Stay infomed about Regulations

    • Keep abreast of the latest developments in food safety regulations and industry standards.
    • Continuously update knowledge and skills to maintain expertise in the field.

    Requirements

    Qualification:

    • National diploma or degree in environmental health, food safety, food technology, microbiology or biotechnology.

    Experience:

    • Minimum 1–3 years' experience in auditing, food safety, quality assurance or environmental health.

    Experience conducting:

    • Food safety or hygiene audits
    • Facility inspections
    • Risk assessments
    • Experience interacting with clients at operational and management level.
    • Experience completing audit documentation, reports and evidence logs.

    Responsibilities

    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in food manufacturing, processing, retail, and distribution sectors.
    • Promote certification services including ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP, and related audits.
    • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet or exceed targets.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
    • Provide consultative support on compliance and certification pathways.
    • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes.
    • Collaborate with technical teams, auditors, and marketing to ensure seamless service delivery.
    • Represent AssureCloud at industry events, expos, and webinars.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Food Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Quality Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
    • Knowledge and training in ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP, GHP or other food safety standards is an advantage (not mandatory but desirable).

    Experience:

    • 3–5 years sales experience in certification, auditing services or related compliance industries.
    • Proven track record in B2B sales within the food manufacturing, agriculture, retail, or FMCG sectors.
    • Experience selling ISO-based certification, food safety audits, or regulatory compliance solutions is highly advantageous.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage a sales pipeline, conduct consultative selling, and close deals with technical stakeholders (QA Managers, Plant Managers, Compliance Officers).
    • Experience working with cross-functional teams (technical, auditors, operations)
