    Electrician

    Main Purpose of the Job

    • Responsible to perform and supervise (when necessary) daily Electrical repairs, installations and troubleshooting of Electrical equipment and systems across the business unit according to legislation and standards; including the installation and maintenance of wiring, lighting systems and Electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers.

    Job Requirements

    Minimum qualification

    • Matric (Grade 12).
    • Minimum N3 Electrical Engineering.
    • Trade Test Electrician (Red Seal).
    • Valid Wireman's Licence.
    • Valid driver's licence (advantageous).

    Minimum job related experience

    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience performing Electrical repairs. 
    • Supervisory experience is an advantage
    • Certifications/Accreditation/Registration/Licenses
    • Preferably registered with the SAFMA / other accredited facilities / engineering bodies

    Duties and responsibilities include:

    Maintained Electrical Systems & Equipment

    • Check in with the services office for scheduled jobs after the completion of each job and at the end of each work day.
    • Responsible for time management of jobs scheduled each day.
    • Prepare necessary tools and PPE for the day ahead.
    • Respond to requests relating to electrical equipment and systems installations, repairs and upgrades in line with scheduled repairs and preventative maintenance plans.
    • Conduct investigations and diagnose system or equipment faults.
    • Troubleshoot and complete repairs in line with identified faults.
    • Set up wiring and electrical systems to specification and standard
    • Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems. 
    • Test the installation of a new electrical systems, to ensure its proper performance, and locate shorts and system breaks. 
    • Locate the source of the problem, and repair or replace the wiring and conduits as needed.
    • Inspect and audit electrical supplies, machinery and systems and address any risk areas and check compatibility and safety of the components
    • Install conduits and run electrical wiring to feed switches, circuit breaker panels and relays
    • Keep management up to date and feedback on status and challenges with regards repairs and installations.
    • Store and secure parts and tools needed in line with regulations and SOPs

    Electrical Compliance

    • Inspect and test different electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations
    • Store electrical assets; technical stock and parts in line with regulations
    • Maintain Personal Protective Equipment in line with specifications and regulations
    • Keep up to date with latest trade knowledge and skills in line with updated equipment and systems; as well as regulations around electrical requirements
    • Keep up to date with policies and procedures for installing, maintaining and repairing electrical equipment or machinery; as well as revised testing or installation procedures, and align practices.
    • Keep up to date with the handling of various tools including saws, screwdrivers, pliers and knives, as well as the use of power tools, test meters, pipe threaders and conduit benders.

    Shift Supervision

    • Completes and signs off on inspections registers for electrical equipment, systems, etc.
    • Interact and be available to understand and assist clients with requests, special requirements, recommendations, concerns, resolution of complaints, etc.
    • Supervise contractors / junior staff appearance and handling of equipment 
    • Report and resolve any issues experienced
    • Supervise the control of stock and operating equipment as per SOP 
    • Completes supporting job / work card admin / paperwork 
    • Provides support to contractors or staff on escalated technical electrical queries 
    • Follows up on fault logging until resolution

    F&B Admin Assistant

    Main Purpose of the Job

    • The F&B Admin Assistant is responsible for the timely and effective handling of F&B orders, invoicing and related queries. This will include the sorting, recording, checking, and co-ordination of orders and the processing of related invoices to be processed for the F&B department and outlets, efficiently and accurately, in line with Company policy and regulations.
    • The role will also be required to perform general office support in the F&B offices including responding to incoming calls and emails, restaurant reservations received by the department; distribution of documentation to staff across the department as required, and other general admin support such as copying, scanning, and similar activities.

    Job Requirements

    Minimum requirements (Education and Experience)

    • Grade 12 

    Minimum job related experience

    • Previous experience in a administrator role is preferred 
    • Experience working with IFS is essential

    Duties and responsibilities include

    • Receive and record orders and invoices from outlets across F&B outlets on the complex and check authorised documents to ensure that invoicing and company details are complete and correct, against information recorded in IFS
    • Where price variances exist these need to be submitted for authorisation and sent with the invoice, and copies sent to suppliers
    • Investigate, resolve and close out all stock and non-stock queries on invoices each day, including queries from SSC (AP Team), suppliers, internal operators, and rejection queries
    • Track the resolution of queries in a prompt and professional manner and liaise with various stakeholders to resolve, escalating any unresolved queries to finance or management as required
    • Action that checked invoices are processed on a daily basis
    • File all invoices on a daily/monthly basis under the relevant supplier
    • Develop and maintain sound working relationships with relevant departments
    • Interact with clients and provide professional service standards and solutions
    • Provide administrative support to the F&B office (including data capturing, tracking of departmental documentation, providing information relating to the F&B department and processes, and similar tasks)
    • Answer, screen and forward incoming calls, taking messages and reservations where necessary
    • Log calls relating to maintenance issues identified in F&B outlets and venues
    • Keep inventory of office stationery and place orders as instructed
    • Maintain office spreadsheets and documentation
    • Keep up to date with changes relating to F&B products, outlets and requirements

    VIP Personal Host

    Job Purpose

    • The VIP Personal Host is responsible for implementing the end-to-end VIP customer program and is the single point of contact for all Hosted and VIP customers. The role needs to acquire, build and retain relationships with VIP gaming customers in order to grow VIP business and achieve or exceed revenue and visitation targets, in line with Company policy and regulations.

    Key Performance Areas

    Duties and responsibilities include:   

    • VIP Customer Relationship Management
    • Act as a host in gaming areas whilst the customer is engaged in play
    • Check product and service standards in Prive operating areas and ensure all necessary checks are performed
    • Co-ordinate transport for VIP customers as and when required
    • Conduct meet and greet processes for VIP customers on arrival and departure from the property and at special events to build relationships and secure business, as per SOP
    • Handle any complaints, disputes and suggestions and escalate when required
    • Co-ordinate and arrange for customer excursions, activities and requirements during their stay
    • Check hotel rooms and include room drops and welcome packs for designated VIP customers, in line with preferences
    • Attend to incoming customer needs or queries e.g. hotel bookings, restaurant bookings, Sun-extra player offers, transport prior to arrival and also during their stay
    • Actively manage customer profiles in CRM
    • Leverage off direct marketing offers and promotional events in order to encourage an increase in visitation by VIP customers to the property
    • Obtain feedback from clients with regards their experience
    • Engage with VIP customers and provide a customer experience that will support brand loyalty ensuring SI as the brand of choice
    • Be aware and identify market offerings on and off site to assist in entertaining customers

    • Manage VIP customers using CRM in line with targets

    VIP Administration & Reporting

    • Accurately update clients’ CRM profiles with preferences and update Casino Management Program (CMP) on an ongoing basis in order to maintain data integrity
    • Complete all relevant data in a common departmental drive in relation to new and “hot” players
    • Log records of key customer activities (including invites, birthdays, activations, complaints) and communications into the CRM system
    • Record ROI’s and complete “Event input template” for all functions and VIP initiatives
    • Manage the individual VIP customer’s comp spend in line with the re-investment model and Group Comp policy, indicating offerings to activations in order to generate revenues

    Stakeholder Relationship Management

    • Cooperate with other departments on the property to create exceptional Guest experiences and build strong relationships with key clients to ensure return VIP gaming business
    • Update hotel operations timeously of any changes to billing requirements
    • Build relationships with business partners and service providers to be leveraged to mutual benefit in building customer relationships
    • Continuously engage with clients to establish and grow loyal relationships for SI
    • Coordinates the distribution of information to all relevant departments on the property
    • Attends gaming and VIP meetings and provide relevant feedback and information to management and the department

    Job Requirements

    Education

    • 3-Year Tertiary qualification in marketing is an advantage

    Experience

    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in guest relations within the gaming and hospitality environment

    Linen Room Manager

    Job Purpose

    • The Linen Room Manager forms part of the Housekeeping team and is responsible for supervising linen room and uniform operations, ensuring the effective laundry, storage, issuance, control, and maintenance of hotel linen, towels, and employee uniforms in accordance with Sun standards and regulations.
    • The role ensures operational excellence by maintaining appropriate stock levels, controlling linen and uniform inventories, coordinating outsourced laundry services, and supporting exceptional guest service. The Linen Room Manager may also oversee valet services, garment repairs, and alterations for guests during their stay.
    • Working collaboratively with internal teams and external service providers, the role contributes to enhancing guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, revenue growth, and overall profitability through the delivery of high-quality housekeeping support services.

    Key Performance AreasLinen, Laundry and Inventory Management

    • Monitor and maintain par stock levels of linen, amenities, housekeeping equipment, and cleaning chemicals in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
