    Credit Risk Analyst

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct in-depth credit assessments of counterparties, including financial statement analysis, industry and country risk evaluation, and qualitative assessment of business model, including operations, market position and overall management strategy.
    • Assist in setting reviewing credit limits, in collaboration with commercial teams taking into account payment terms, and risk mitigation tools such as collateral, guarantees and or letters of credit.
    • Periodically and ad-hoc macro-economic and sector reporting.
    • Creation and distribution of Credit Risk reporting (bespoke, cross-group and cross-functional) for the Global Function to senior stakeholders.
    • Validating and explaining Credit Risk data generated from our various systems.
    • Maintaining Data Integrity across our various systems.
    • Assisting in the development of new and existing systems, processes and reports
    • Support and assist in developing credit risk evaluation tools (Credit pricing, Stress testing, …).
    • To communicate effectively with senior management and the credit team.
    • Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and external regulatory requirements.
    • Any other ad hoc duties that may be required from time to time.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Economics, Engineering or a related field.
    • Relevant Post graduate qualifications beneficial

    Work experience: 

    • Ideally 1-3 years of Credit Risk management experience but not essential
    • Financial Analysis experience would be beneficial
    • Coding skills in VBA, PowerBI, Python advantageous

    Group Metallurgist

    Key Responsibilities

    • Leading the formulation and updating of the Metallurgy Strategy for all the Operations.
    • Managing technical controls and governance of the Metallurgy discipline across all Operations.
    • Providing consultancy services to the Metallurgy department.
    • Managing continuous coal processing efficiency improvement and cost reduction within the Metallurgy discipline.
    • Overseeing the constant flow of suitably qualified and experienced talent within the discipline through ensuring that development and exposure programs are in place.
    • Ensuring integrity of coal sampling, analyses and reporting of results.
    • Monitoring trends in the Metallurgy discipline.
    • Liaising with external stakeholders and representing the Company at relevant industry forums.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • A Tertiary qualification (NQF Level 7) in Metallurgy.
    • A business qualification will be an added advantage.

    Minimum Experience:

    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Surface Operations Manager role.

    Human Resources

    Key Responsibilities

    • Translating the HR Strategy for the Complex into an action plan for the year for the Operations; providing input into the Life of Mine Plan and liaising with Operations Managers to put together the Labour Budget.
    • Providing input into the Complex’s Social and Labour Plan and Employment Equity Plan and ensuring that the HR elements of these are implemented.
    • Initiating requisitions to recruit and coordinating and overseeing the selection processes for vacancies in areas of responsibility in conjunction with the Group Transactional Services team as well as Hiring Managers within the Operations and own HR Team as relevant.
    • Overseeing that all time and attendance as well as bonus inputs are captured timeously for payroll.
    • Driving a positive Employee Relations Climate within Operations responsible for and ensuring that consultative forums as relevant are functional and meet at agreed upon intervals.
    • Ensuring and overseeing the implementation of HR Policies and Procedures, including assisting Supervisors and Line Managers in ensuring that discipline is maintained. Supporting the HR Manager in Dispute Resolution processes including strikes and lock-outs and representing the Complex in conciliation matters at the CCMA.
    • Driving Employee Wellness Programs in the Operations in line with the Company’s integrated Wellness Strategy.
    • Identifying risks in areas of responsibility and in consultation with the HR Manager and/or Operations Managers and putting in place plans to mitigate the risks.
    • Keeping abreast of developments and trends in the industry, legislation and general HR practice and engaging HR Manager as relevant to ensure that own processes keep up to speed with relevant developments and trends.
    • Reviewing on an ongoing basis own and team performance and also seeking feedback from stakeholders, providing feedback to the team and ensuring that processes are adjusted to close any identified gaps.

    Minimum Qualification:

    • Relevant Degree in Human Resources or any other relevant tertiary qualification.
    • An Honours Degree and a Business qualification will be an added advantage.

    Minimum Experience:

    • 2 Years’ experience in Human Resources at an HR Officer level.
    • Understanding of legislative requirements as they relate to the Mining Industry.
    • Working knowledge of MS Office packages and an understanding of various HR Systems and their application.

    Manager - Geotechnical Engineering and Hydrogeology

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead the development, rollout, and governance of Geotechnical and Hydrogeological Engineering Standards, Guidelines, and Reporting.
    • Provide geotechnical support to existing African copper operations and projects.
    • Oversee geotechnical project delivery, ensuring quality, technical accuracy, and adherence to standards and timelines.
    • Lead a team of technical experts in evaluating the geotechnical quality of production, MROR estimates, and reports, while identifying associated technical risks.
    • Provide mentoring, coaching, and geotechnical support to Operational Leaders, Project Teams, Regional Teams, and Corporate Functions.
    • Conduct benchmarking and best practice studies across Glencore operations.
    • Travel to Glencore-owned sites and other sites globally as required.

    • Maintain a Geotechnical Management System / Framework.

    • 20+ years of experience in mining operations, corporate engineering, or consulting.
    • High degree of technical expertise in open pit and underground geotechnical engineering.
    • Strong business acumen and ability to influence decision-making.
    • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
    • Advanced geotechnical engineering degree (Master's or PhD) is an advantage.
    • Bilingual in French/English is an advantage

    Registered Nurse

    Key Responsibilities

    • Implementing and maintaining the Chronic Disease Management Program including coaching of employees and contractors to create ongoing awareness.
    • Developing & implementing strategies to ensure optimal compliance to the chronic disease management program.

    Senior Process Geomet

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead the development, rollout, and governance of Geometallurgical Standards, Guidelines, and Reporting.
    • Provide geometallurgical support to studies, projects, and operations (with a focus on the DRC region).
    • Define and manage ore characterization programs and metallurgical laboratory testwork.
    • Develop geometallurgical block models to support Life of Asset planning.
    • Implement technical systems for data collection, modeling, and prediction of metallurgical performance.
    • Coordinate with Technical Study Managers, Mining, Geology, and Processing teams.
    • Conduct site visits to DRC operations (Kamoto and Mutanda) as required.

    • Strong technical expertise in Geometallurgy, Process Mineralogy, and Metallurgical Modelling.
    • Proficiency in Geometallurgical and Mass Balance software tools.
    • Demonstrated experience in developing geometallurgical models for mine planning and project studies.
    • Strong business acumen and ability to influence technical and operational decision-making.
    • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
    • Bilingual in French/English is an advantage.
    • Willingness to travel regularly to the DRC.
