    Copywriter & Content Producer

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Writing, developing, producing and delivering multi- channel content and campaigns, across video, audio, visual and written mediums, to engage a diverse range of audiences, aligned with Takealot’s brand marketing strategies and initiatives and overarching strategic priorities.
    • Researching and keeping the team abreast of competitor trends and best practices with regards to Communications.

    Sales Key Account Manager - Advertising (Marketplace Sponsored Ads)

    Key responsibilities / accountabilities:

    • Manage and grow a portfolio of high-value marketplace sellers on the Takealot.com platform
    • Serve as the primary liaison between internal & external stakeholders, clients and the Takealot Advertising team.
    •  Develop comprehensive retail media plans and advertising proposals to drive strategic objectives  
    •  Generate campaign cost estimates (CEs) and oversee the invoicing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial transactions.
    • Generate regular performance reports, analyse data trends, and provide actionable insights to clients for informed decision-making.
    • Collaborate with various creative, analytics, and campaign management teams to ensure seamless campaign execution and alignment with client objectives.

    Qualifications and experience:

    • Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Diploma in Marketing, Advertising or Media, if the Degree/Advanced Diploma qualification requirement isn’t met, 6+ years’ experience in a digital/advertising account management role in digital marketing, advertising or similar environment with Matric/Diploma.
    • Minimum 5 years Advertising Account Management experience or 3 years Digital  Account Management experience.

    Supply Chain Coordinator-Returns

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Referring operational issues and/or problems in a timeous and effective manner to the relevant stakeholders for resolution
    • Being point of contact for Customer Service and TDT delivery hubs, ensuring efficient and accurate query resolution

    Application Analyst

    Your responsibilities can include:

    Development and Implementation:

    • Design, develop, and implement various tools to create visibility, reduce risk, and improve productivity in operations.
    • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to design and implement software solutions.
    • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code (we use python).

    • In the event that you do not have a bachelor’s degree or an advanced diploma (in Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering), an equivalent experience requirement must be met, which equates to a minimum of 6 years of experience in a software/technology environment.
    • Minimum 3 years database knowledge and experience including the ability to write and optimize complex queries using SQL.

    • Experience with one or more system monitoring and alerting systems.

    Product Lead (Data Delivery & Monetisation)

    Your mission, should you choose to accept it:

    Create and facilitate the delivery of one or more of Takealot Group’s key focus areas:

    • Data collection
    • Data monetisation
    • Data governance
    • You will work closely with product and engineering to ensure we collect the right data to produce relevant business insights.
    • You will own all event mechanisms across the Takealot Group, namely GA4 and a proprietary event tracking system. This, for instance, includes creating and enforcing event naming standardisation, monitoring event emissions and alerting on significant drops, and deeply understanding user event payload content to suggest improvements and refinement.
    • You will work closely with the commercial head of Data Monetisation to create data products and unlock revenue opportunities.
    • You will project manage 3rd party data integrations as enrichment layers to existing and future data products.
    • You will be responsible for sharing data with 3rd parties. This includes making current processes more streamlined while at the same time ensuring adherence to data governance requirements.
    • You will work hand-in-hand with data teams to configure and define how data can be easily discoverable by end users using an existing discovery tool.
    • You will work hand-in-hand with data teams to implement any audit findings around data governance and user privacy.
    • You will ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations while monetising data products.
    • You will work hand-in-hand with a range of data teams: data engineering (data collection), analytical engineering (data marts/models), and business intelligence (dashboarding/reporting) in driving end-to-end data products across the key focus areas.
    • You will work closely with relevant business units to identify opportunities for driving meaningful business results through data solutions and then work with stakeholders to prioritize projects for roadmap inclusion.
    • Becoming an effective evangelist of data within the business vertical you serve, helping stakeholders understand the capabilities and potential value of data.
    • Balance longer-term product vision and goals with short-term wins.

    Attributes Required:

    • Ability to distill technical subjects to their fundamental concepts to facilitate the effective exchange of ideas between business stakeholders and software development teams.
    • Strong commercial acumen for understanding the factors driving business success in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.

    Experience and Qualifications:

    Product experience:

    • 9+ years of related and transferable experience or 5+ years of product management experience.
    • Experience leading and executing cross-functional projects, preferably in high-traffic environments.
    • Familiarity and proficiency with agile methods and tools to support project management in a timeline-sensitive environment.
    • High accountability when it comes to meeting deadlines and shipping dates.
    • Preferably, a proven track record in delivering data products and subsequent maturing iterations at scale.

    Data experience:

    • A solid understanding of data engineering and analytics fundamentals, allowing you to understand and earn the respect of experienced data engineers.
    • Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL and BigQuery or a similar technology, preferably in a high-load environment.
    • Experience with Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel at an advanced level.

    Qualifications:

    • Preferably a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Science, Engineering, Statistics, Data Science, or Computer Science. If you don’t have a relevant qualification, equivalent experience is required.
