    Express Till Operator - Somerset West (Sommerset)

    Description

    Key Performance Arears: 

    • Manage transactions with customers using cash registers
    • Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate
    • Collect payments whether in cash, debit card or credit card
    • Issue receipts, refunds, change
    • Attention to detail
    • Resolve customer complaints, guide them, and provide relevant information
    • Greet customers entering or leaving the store
    • Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas
    • Track transactions on balance sheets and report any discrepancies
    • Bag, box or gift-wrap packages
    • Handle merchandise returns and exchanges
    • Assist when and where needed Key Performance Indicators
    • Accurately ring up all purchases
    • Balance till at the end of the day or shift with the store manager
    • Always maintain a friendly demeanour
    • Build good relationships with clients and store staff

    Requirements

    • Work experience as a Retail Cashier or in a similar role.
    • Basic Computer literacy.
    • Basic Numeracy skills.
    • Strong communication and Interpersonal skills
    • Time management skills.
    • Customer satisfaction/ service oriented.

    Junior Admin Clerk (ACDC Express - Somerset West) (Sommerset)

    Description

    Key Performance Areas

    • Perform daily administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, scanning, and data entry
    • Capture invoices, sales data, stock movements, and other relevant documentation
    • Maintain and update internal systems including spreadsheets, databases, and stock control platforms
    • Process purchase orders, goods received notes, and supplier documentation
    • Handle internal communications professionally (phone calls, emails, etc.)
    • Liaise with finance and head office teams regarding documentation and reporting
    • Ensure records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with company policies
    • Assist with stocktaking and inventory control when required
    • Provide ad-hoc administrative support to the management team

    Requirements

    • Previous experience in a retail or administrative role
    • Basic computer literacy (MS Office, spreadsheets, email)
    • Strong numeracy and data entry skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
    • Good time management and organizational skills
    • Customer service orientation and a proactive attitude
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
    • Grade12/ Matric or Equivalent
