    Business Systems Administrator – Auxiliary Systems (Tygervalley)

    Minimum Qualifications / Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in business / information systems preferably
    • 5+ years’ experience in system administration, and maintenance
    • Driver’s license (required), own vehicle (preferred). Willingness to travel
    • Outstanding communication, presentation and administration skills
    • The ability to solve problems, communicate well, focus on customer service, and work under pressure will be an asset
    • A Proven track record in a Business Systems support environment
    • Driven, eager to learn and can work independently as well as in a team
    • Ability to prioritise, plan and organise your own activities

    Duties and Responsibilities include (But not limited to)

    • As a Business Systems Administrator in our Auxiliary systems department the role would involve supporting the business systems and processes within Afrimat.
    • The role would work closely with People Managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the efficient operation and optimization of various systems and applications.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for support in the following support services: Papertrail, Kofax, Web Register, Unis, ESS, SAGE 300 People, BEE123 and Mobile contracts
    • Ensuring the optimal performance of the above systems
    • System Implementation, configuration and maintenance
    • User access management
    • Ensuring that all system workflows and configuration change requests are implemented in a timely manner to minimize any disruptions to business operations
    • Performing problem-solving tasks when alerted by a user or monitoring the system
    • Assist with System upgrades, testing and implementation of new developments
    • End User Training and support. Creation and maintenance of training manuals
    • Importing data when needed
    • Other duties as assigned

    Health and Safety Officer (Eersteriver)

    Minimum Qualifications / Experience

    • Grade 12
    • Diploma / degree in Health and Safety (SAMTRAC or equivalent).
    • 5 - 8 years relevant experience in the mining and quarrying industry.
    • Valid RSA driver’s license and reliable transport.
    • Must be Computer literate and have good administration skills.
    • Must have good interpersonal skills.
    • Must be willing to travel to various operations in the Western Cape.
    • Be able to work under pressure, independently and in a team.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and legislative organisations - “DMRE”
    • Medically fit to perform duties in the Mine Health and Safety Act.

    Duties and Responsibilities (Not limited to):

    • The successful candidate will be responsible for support in the following support services: Papertrail, Kofax, Web Register, Unis, ESS, SAGE 300 People, BEE123 and Mobile contracts
    • Oversee and manage day-to-day SHE (Safety, Health, Hygiene, Environment) functions.
    • Assist with and ensure compliance with all administrative functions related to the company’s SHE management system.
    • Become familiar with the client’s specifications and standards, ensuring compliance,
    • particularly with Contractors Management (maintenance of the operational SHE file).
    • Assist the company in complying with current SHE legislation as per the legal register of various legislations, including but not limited to OHSA, MHSA, BCEA, NEMA, etc.
    • Conduct and assist with the recording, reporting, and investigation of incidents and accidents.
    • Monitor action plans for the implementation of recommendations.
    • Raise SHE awareness in your area of responsibility.
    • Perform periodic workplace and equipment inspections and audits (daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly).
    • Practice safe working techniques.

    Process Engineer (Lichtenburg)

    Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Competencies

    • Bachelor’s degree in chemical or metallurgical engineering or equivalent qualification.
    • 5-10 years’ experience in a process plant production. Practical experience of cement manufacturing (plant and process) will be an added advantage.
    • People leadership skills.
    • Expertise in process design of mass and energy balances.
    • Good data analytical skills.

    Duties and Responsibilities (Not limited to):

    • Process Optimisation: perform metallurgical and chemical process reviews, simulations and analyses to ensure process efficiency.
    • Production review and equipment condition monitoring: ensure that the plant maintains design capacity at minimum operating cost.
    • Internal stakeholder support: manage and lead process engineering activities for cement manufacturing process and projects. Work with multidisciplinary teams to align process engineering with overall production objectives.
    • Understanding of process plant control elements i.e. control and operating philosophy, control logics, and functional specifications.
    • Quality Management: ensure that quality targets are achieved and maintained.
    • Risk Management: ensure adherence to industry standards and safety regulations.
    • Minimise operational risk to production personnel through technical initiatives.
    • Governance: Ensure adherence to operating procedures and compliance to licences
