    Chief Legal Officer

    Job Description

    • To drive and provide strategic direction and oversight for the Group’s Legal department in order to protect its interests and deliver longer term organisational objectives in line with regulatory, statutory and legal parameters. Collegially formulate an aligned strategic framework to enable shareholder and stakeholder value.
    • The Chief Legal Officer is responsible for the Legal practice of the organisation and contributes to the overarching executive management of the business, enabling the availability of resources and measurement of cost efficiencies.

    Job Requirements:

    • LLB Degree
    • 7-10 years’ experience in Commercial Law
    • Previous experience in the healthcare industry advantageous

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Lead strategic direction setting and strategic planning for Legal in alignment to the company’s vision, mission and values
    • Direct the Group’s Legal activities, including the approval of legal plans and templates, the selection of directors or other high-level staff, or establishment or organization of major departments
    • Negotiate or approve contracts or agreements with suppliers, distributors, state agencies, or other organizational entities.

    Clinical Pharmacist

    Job Summary:

    • Clinix is seeking a dedicated and motivated Clinical Pharmacist to be responsible for the leading, managing, coordination, and monitoring of clinical pharmacy services and driving pharmaceutical improvement within the hospital.
    • The clinical pharmacist will be responsible for conducting daily ward rounds and review patient medication profiles across the hospital division and contribute to improving patient outcomes.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

    • Pharm Degree and a post graduate qualification in Clinical Pharmacy
    • Active registration with the South African Pharmacy Council

    • Elevate antimicrobial stewardship performance as a key focus area

    Risk Management Officer

    Job Description

    • To plan, monitor and implement risk control measures across the Group in line with relevant legislation and CHG standards and policies. The incumbent provides support in the function by advising the business and management on any potential risks and ensure the implementation of mitigation controls.

    Job Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree: Risk Management, Finance or Business Management.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Collaborates with all relevant areas to ensure risks and controls are well understood, registered, and documented.
    • Provides support to the Managers at Head Office and Hospitals in their assessment of risk management and control effectiveness.
    • Collaborate with the Clinical Risk department in the identification and mitigation of clinical risks.
    • Regularly assess the adequacy of CHG’s internal controls and risk management processes.
    • Assists in the development and accurate maintenance of risk registers, business continuity, crisis management and disaster recovery plans.
    • Ensure critical risk indicators are managed and reported on as needed.
    • Participate in risk management governance structures.
    • Balance reactive risk management with proactive risk identification.
    • Apply and maintain the risk management framework for the risk function and for the Group.
    • Collaborate closely with the Legal Department on the management of significant risks.
    • Collaborate with HR on the sanctions to be applied for intolerable breaches of compliance.
    • Provide accurate analysis of factors driving poor or excellent risk management in various business units or functions.
    • Analyse trends and ensure the correct contingency plans are in place and recommend solutions to identified risks.
    • Participate in relevant risk change initiatives and follow the correct escalation processes to ensure risk factors are addressed.
    • Build risk awareness across the Group by providing support and conducting training where necessary.
    • Research, enable and consult on improvements and opportunities to harness technology for the management of risks.
    • Ensure the development, alignment, mapping and implementation of end-to-end standard operating procedures / processes (relevant to risk management, where appropriate).
    • Maintain currency in risk management processes and regulations, particularly in private healthcare.
    • Train and upskill employees as requested.
    • Ensure all risk projects are properly scoped and time and budget tracked for maximum efficiency.
    • Benchmark CHG risk management practices and advise on system improvements for measurable outcomes.
    • Provide guidance on internal audit and risk mitigation across the Group.

    Stock Controller

    Job Summary

    • The Stock controller will accept full responsibility and accountability for the control of stock, including but not limited to, auditing, counting, reconciling, replenishing, ordering, issuing, and condemning.
    • The incumbent is responsible for coordinating and facilitating the collective efforts between relevant departments in order to maximize proper stock control and limit mismanagement of stock.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience

    • Grade 12
    • Basic Pharmacist Assistant Certificate
    • Knowledge and experience of a pharmaceutical stock control system, consignment stock, theatre stock
    • 2-4 years’ experience in stock control, preferably in a hospital environment.
    • Computer proficiency – SAP or similar.
    • Administrative support in a hospital environment would be advantageous

    Minimum Job Requirements

    • Assist the theatre with maintaining optimal stock levels and stock availability by compiling of order according to minimum and maximum stock level.
    • Perform cyclic stock counts to minimize stock loss and to ensure rotation of stock.
    • Take responsibility for barcoding and packing of surgical items.
    • Pick and capture stock to be issued to theatre and wards / units and capture stock transfers from other hospitals.
    • Sign off credit slips after being reconciled by the Data Capture and capture invoices during the Data capturer’s absence.
    • Adhere to the principles of Lean management (i.e. reducing wastage and unnecessary expenditure) without compromising patient care whilst ensuring minimal wastage.
    • Participate as a team member and contribute effectively towards achievement of unit goals.
