    Specialist Advisory

    Role

    • A Specialist Advisory will provide expert consulting for complex real estate challenges.
    • The role involves conducting analyses, offering strategic advice, and developing solutions for unique properties and market segments.
    • You will perform feasibility studies, market research, and development advisory, leveraging industry knowledge to help clients make informed decisions and optimize asset performance.

    What this job involves

    • Executing client advisory assignments; key tasks include market research, financial analysis, report writing, presentations, etc.
    • Preparation of pitches, presentations and proposals.
    • Contribute to the successful execution of other business development and marketing initiatives, as required.
    • Create and maintain business development tools, such as capability statements, case studies and credentials.
    • Implementation of regional/global research publication initiatives.
    • Assist with coordination, writing, design, research and production of research pieces as required.
    • Supervise Analysts in completing advisory assignments; and
    • Assist the Hotels Capital Markets initiative through analytical support.

    Desired skills and experience for this

    • Academic and/or professional exposure to management consulting, real estate or corporate finance is preferred.
    • Academic and/or professional exposure to the Hotel industry is a preference, yet not a requirement.
    • Knowledge and understanding of the real estate, economics, corporate finance and hotel industry.
    • Good business report writing skills in MS Word and PowerPoint.
    • Ability to prepare succinct PowerPoint presentations.
    • Strong understanding of MS Excel; and
    • Knowledge of corporate and client communication and etiquette.
    • Client centric approach and collaborative approach to work.
    • Strong analytical background with attention to detail.
    • Strong organisation skills, problem-solving with the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • High attention to detail and decerning in delivery high quality outputs.
    • Rigour and autonomy when working; and
    • Ability to meet deadlines with demanding timeframes.

    Intern - Johannesburg

    Role Purpose  

    • This is an internship with the Cost Management team. The work will be involved in all aspects of services provided but with a particular focus on learning more in the Interiors / Fit Out area of the market. 

    What this job involves  

    • Work alongside the fit out cost management team and assist in Measurements, BOQ production and other quantity surveying tasks.  
    • Minuting meetings and creating agendas. 
    • Participate in projects, shadows and learning, client interaction, cost management, scheduling, permitting and workshops. 
    • Contribute to the successful execution of other research initiatives as needed 
    • Any other task requested by line manager

    Intern - Cape Town

    Job Summary/Goals

    • Strategic management consultants advise organizations about key strategic issues concerning restructuring and progression, as well as how to improve profitability, competitive advantage, share value and efficiency.
    • Our consulting practice will help you learn data gathering techniques from primary and secondary sources, site analysis, analyzing qualitative data to uncover industry trends, and creating detailed client reports.
    • You will be working with a high-performance team, developing multi-tasking, problem-solving, research and analytical skills.
    • An intern in this department would assist in all the above.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Assist the consulting team on client assignments, key tasks include market research, financial analysis, report writing, presentation, participation in internal and external meetings.
    • Market research may require travel within the region subject to visa issues in order to conduct field research
    • Support the consulting team in preparation of client pitches, presentations and proposals
    • Contribute to the successful execution of other research and marketing initiatives as needed
    • Report to the head of strategic consulting as well as to the respective assignment leads on an ongoing basis

    General Competencies

    • Strong analytical background with attention to detail
