    Associate Technical Services Specialist

    Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

    • Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.
    • Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.
    • Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
    • Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
    • Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions. 

    Required Knowledge and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree is required – minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience or advanced degree with a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience. Good knowledge of troubleshooting methods/skills and capital equipment control.
    • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills that are balanced with speed and effectiveness.
    • Effective verbal and written English communication skills

    • Available to work 40 hours per week
    • Preferably, the candidate should have in-depth experience within the medical devices industry, be a proficient user of Microsoft Office applications (including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook), and have hands-on experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems.

    Senior Technical Consultant

    Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

    • Achieve sales revenue and market share targets for a specified region by supporting EPS, Cryo & RF Ablation, Pacemaker & ICD implantation cases including programming & follow up, loading and giving technical consultancy in CathLab
    • Conduct on-site education and consulting, and support establishment and maintenance of customer relations with healthcare professionals and organizations in the name of Medtronic
    • Provide technical expertise to sales representatives, other sales functions and customers through sales presentations, product demonstrations, installation and maintenance of company products
    • Support sales & marketing programs with specific complimentary activities as provided by the Marketing team
    • Ensure the highest level of product knowledge is attained and maintained
    • Monitor field inventory effectively to ensure appropriate levels of inventory in each location relative to demand
    • Complete cycle counts of all required field locations on time and follow up on any missing stock
    • Retrieve all expiring product from field locations and return to the warehouse prior to expiry
    • All activities must be performed in compliance with the local Quality System
    • Performs duties in compliance with environmental, health and safety related site rules, policies, or governmental regulations
    • Travel requirement 50% of the time (this includes regionally and nationally if needed).

    Required Knowledge and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree of Health Science in Clinical Technology 
    • 4+ years of experience in the medical device industry and/or working in hospital environment, technical consultant experience for EPS, Cryo & RF Ablation, Pacemaker & ICD implantation cases are highly preferred
    • Solid understanding of cardiovascular anatomy
    • Familiarity with CathLab environment:  Sterilization and radiation protocols. 
    • Flexibility, dedication, hands-on working approach with ability to present technical know-how
    • English knowledge (B2 and above)
    • Crice certification will be transferred if completed, if not it will be provided.
    • Any experience as CathLab Technician is highly preferred in this role.

    Sales Intern

    Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

    • Providing administrative support to the sales function, such as coordinating meetings and appointments within allocated accounts
    • Conducting statistical analysis on sales data to support optimal execution and growth objectives
    • Maintaining online sales and marketing systems, verifying data accuracy, and liaising with IT to resolve issues
    • Administering the field sales forecasting system to provide management with current product sales potential
    • Supporting activities within specified accounts to gain training on the Operating Unit (OU) and Sales processes
    • Acting as a liaison between Government and Commercial teams regarding pending orders (specific to Government accounts)
    • Promoting Medtronic products and services within assigned geographic areas or customer accounts, supporting the sales team in meeting or exceeding targets

    Required Knowledge and Experience:

    • Recently graduated with a degree, preferably in a medical field
    • Able to travel to support internal stakeholders
    • Must be currently unemployed
    • Must be a South African citizen
    • Must be under the age of 30
    • Must not have participated in a YES programme previously

    Would be a plus: 

    • Valid driver’s license
    • Clinical experience in a hospital setting
    • Familiarity with MDT technologies

    Compliance Specialist

    Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

    • Develops, implements, administers and certifies compliance policies, procedures, and practices.
    • Ensures alignment with legal and ethical standards of the organization.
    • Provides compliance advice, investigates complaints and verifies deficiencies are corrected.
    • Develops employee communication and training programs that focus on the elements of a companywide compliance program.
    • Enforces anti-bribery and anti-competition laws.
    • Analyzes metrics and audits functional compliance program.
    • Maintains current knowledge of laws for financial, advertising and marketing reporting, regulations, and industry guidance that impact the company's compliance program.
    • Understand the current governance and reporting processes and tools, identify gaps or areas of expansion and opportunity and propose, develop, and implement improvements. 
    • Monitor external, internal, and peer industry trends and changes relating to compliance program reporting and effectiveness.
    • Lead by example to model a culture of ethics and integrity; exercise sound judgment and courage as a trusted advisor to the team.

    Required Knowledge and Experience:

    • 3 years of experience in compliance or similar position
    • Ability to prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects or tasks simultaneously
    • Good communication skills and proactive attitude towards stakeholders
    • Fluent in English and one European language 
    • High analytical skills 
    • Good understanding of compliance requirements and procedures
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software is highly advantageous in this role.
