    Reliability Engineer

    Your mission:

    • Maintain updated equipment long term plan and risk register
    • Optimise maintenance strategies on equipment/process level
    • Root cause failure analysis and closeout
    • Set goals and achieve Maintenance KPIs
    • Create focused reliability improvement programs
    • Support quality management
    • Understanding of maintenance principles and strategies is essential
    • Prepare data, Identify issues and develop solutions
    • Asset criticality assessment
    • Maintenance Tactic development
    • Lifecycle Analysis / MTBF / MTTR
    • Shut down execution support
    • Train stakeholders on reliability principles
    • Present reports and finding to stakeholders
    • Standby duty on roster at reasonable frequency

    Your Profile:

    • BSc Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Degree / B-Tech in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Instrumentation Engineering
    • Government Certificate of Competency is advantageous
    • Registration as a Professional Engineer with ECSA will be preferable
    • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional or Certified Reliability Engineer will be advantageous
    • 4 years’ experience as a Mechanical or Electrical or Instrumentation Engineer in a heavy industry environment
    • 2 years applicable experience in reliability engineering or asset management will be advantageous
    • Experience within the Pulp & Paper industry will be beneficial

    Electrician Dayshift

    Your Mission

    • Perform repairs and maintenance on Electrical equipment
    • Perform fault-finding.
    • Attend mill wide breakdowns as per operational requirements
    • Electrical installations
    • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and with minimal supervision – accurately and timeously
    • Excellent technical problem-solving abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills within a team environment
    • Must be able to work efficiently in a high pressure & hazardous environments
    • Adhere to Safety, Health, and Environmental issues
    • Daily routine walkabouts – flagging equipment risks to Supervisor
    • Manage SAP work order system management
    • Involved in shut planning, execution, and commissioning

    Your Profile

    • Minimum of 5 years’ post trade experience
    • Minimum Matric 
    • N3 plus Trade Tested Electrician
    • Wireman’s licence (SANS 10142) will be advantageous
    • Experience on PLC’s and AC Drives
    • Experience on SAP

    Computer literacy

    • Must be prepared to carry out standby duties.
    • Pulp and paper mill experience will be advantageous

    Mechanical Supervisor

    Your mission:

    • Prepare and execute scheduled routine maintenance, in conjunction with production planning.
    • Lead proactive maintenance and eliminate reactive maintenance by suggesting/implementing effective preventive and predictive maintenance programmes
    • Support operations by providing effective equipment maintenance, ensuring equipment reliability and availability
    • Spares and inventory management
    • Control maintenance costs effectively and prevent as far as possible over expenditure
    • Demonstrate strong awareness of the OHS Act and Regulations thereof, and show a good understanding of safety standards and procedures, and ensure that all mechanical work complies with safety and operational standards
    • Participate in shut planning, execution, and coordination
    • Participate in preparing and coordinating scheduled routine maintenance
    • Managing tools, spares, and artisan resources to complete tasks efficiently
    • Lead proactive maintenance and eliminate reactive maintenance by suggesting/implementing preventive and predictive maintenance programmes
    • Develop, review and agree the daily/weekly maintenance plan with the Section Engineer and/or the Process team, where applicable
    • Oversee and supervise third-party contractor maintenance and compliance

    • Ensure all Mondi policies and procedures relating to maintenance, safety, risk assessment and procurement are adhered to

    Your profile:

    • Matric plus N4 (Supervisory Management)​
    • Trade Tested as a Mechanical Fitter or Millwright
    • National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering would be advantageous​
    • 5 years of experience in working in the Power and Utilities operations within heavy industry
    • 1 year of leadership experience
    • Experience in a steam/power-generating plant
    • Experience working in a mechanical workshop
    • Experience within the Pulp & Paper industry and relevant equipment would be advantageous

    Production Supervisor

    Your mission

    • Manage the shift team on production KPI’s
    • Maintains morale and discipline of the team on shift
    • Production: Meet volume and efficiency targets for PM 41 and PM 42 at the required quality
    • SHEQ: High focus on water usage, fibre loss, Safety and Health issues, and complies with environmental and safety regulations
    • Cost: Manage production, material and people costs
    • Troubleshoot operational problems in the plant
    • Liaises with Maintenance Foreman in order to carry out maintenance work in a safe and efficient manner
    • Carry out plant inspections and ensure defects are rectified
    • Assists the PTO with development of his/her team, training and Pass Out of personnel
    • Performs relevant administrative duties
    • Act effectively as a first Line Manager
    • Excellent technical problem solving abilities
    • Proven leadership abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills within a team environment
    • Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment

    Your profile

    • Matric plus N4 (Supervisory Management)
    • Relevant Trade Test
    • National Diploma in Pulp and Paper or Chemical Engineering or relevant Engineering Discipline
    • BTech would be advantageous
    • 7 - 10 years of experience in the Pulp and Paper industry 
    • 5 years’ experience in a heavy industry environment
    • 1 – 2 Years Leadership experience would be advantageous
