    FA Practitioner Costing (Rustenburg)

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    • To administer the Cost and Financial Accounting function to Samancor in accordance with accepted Financial & Accounting policies and procedures

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY

    • Identify and assess level of continuous risk exposures in area of responsibility by considering exposures to business, financial, legal issues, people, equipment, material, environment, processes, etc.
    • Consider the level of risk, apply mitigation and implement control measures for residual risk (set objectives, minimum requirements, etc.)
    • Comply with SHEQ requirements (SHEQ Toolbox).
    • Utilise the Integrated Management System (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ status us

    CUSTOMERS

    • Interact with customers and familiarise yourself with operational
    • concerns and any inherent peculiarities
    • Ensure customer satisfaction
    • Key Customers: Admin Superintendent (Fin & Cost), Mine and Plants, Head Office, Fin & Admin staff.

    BUSINESS PROCESSES

    Management Reports:

    • BU Management report administration
    • Monthly reporting on DMR, Overtime, Fixed and Variable Reports, CSAP reports and any ad hoc reporting as required

    Budgeting:

    • Quarterly forecasting
    • Ad hoc forecasting
    • Annual Budgeting

    Monthly/Daily:

    • Process Labour Brokers PR’s and any ad hoc Purchase Requisitions as required
    • Process Service Entry Sheets (SES)
    • Provisions and reversals of all relevant liabilities and accruals
    • Verify monthly Royalty and Merchant West payments
    • Correct and journalise incorrect cost transactions

    Reconciliations:

    • Reconcile allocated GL accounts as per Reconciliation procedure requirements
    • Reconcile Payroll Cost to Company report to CSAP

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

    • Higher Certificate (NQF 5) or National Diploma (NQF 6)
    • 5 year’s relevant experience, preferably 2 years supervisory experience.

    Maintenance Artisan Electrician (Steelpoort)

    Purpose of the Job:

    • To safely carry out preventive maintenance and repairs to underground electrical equipment in line with documented work orders.

    Job Responsibilities:

    SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY 

    • Comply with SHEQ requirements (SHEQ Toolbox)
    • Adhere to the legislated safety, health and environmental standards in every task performed
    • Isolate and lockout with relevant documents
    • Assess and respond to related risks in working areas

    CUSTOMERS

    • Never hand over equipment that is inappropriately maintained
    • Never do a job without receiving authorization in the form of a notification of a work order
    • Ensure Customer satisfaction

    BUSINESS PROCESSES

    • Perform the job as outlined in the Work Order and as per the detailed Task List.
    • Capture history and complete the notification to the required standard.
    • Confirm Work Order with the correct time and all details to the required standard.
    • Provide feedback to the Maintenance Supervisor on any tasks where there is a difference between the task instruction and the job requirements
    • Communicate if spares, equipment or other factors were not available for the job on the work order and to the Maintenance Supervisor.
    • Generate notifications from inspections and subsequent Notifications
    • Conduct trade related fault-finding on equipment and machinery
    • Conduct live testing and fault-finding based on electrical voltage certification
    • Conduct fault-finding on defective equipment where required
    • Ensure adherence to health and safety, environment, quality and housekeeping in section
    • Apply fault-finding techniques, conduct root cause failure analysis and regular plant inspections
    • Maintain and repair electrical parts, components and equipment 
    • Comply with MHSA, Mine standards and procedures.
    • Ensure that installations comply with statutory regulations, conform to safety standard and planned maintenance system requirements 
    • Ensure awareness of relevant COP content
    • Complete breakdown work order, create notification, provide feedback and generate orders on the SAP system.
    • Adhere to lock-out procedure.

    UNPLANNED INTERVENTIONS:

    • Adhere to the lock-out procedure and risk requirements before work commence.
    • Attend to breakdowns safely and quickly.
    • Capture all data related to the stoppage to assist in determining the root cause.
    • Assist with electrical lockouts to other non - electrical discipline persons.

    PLANNED INTERVENTIONS:

    • Perform isolation and issue lockout documents
    • Record all data related to the stoppage on the work order
    • Handover the equipment back to production and report to the control room

    ROTABLES MANAGEMENT:

    • Change out item
    • Transport damaged rotable to lay down area

    SHAREHOLDER VALUE

    • Cost reduction and continuous improvement 
    • Communicate ways of improving how the breakdown was handled to the Maintenance Supervisor

    Requirements

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

    • Grade 12 / N2
    • Trade Test (Section 13 Electrical Trade Certificate)
    • Section 26D QCTO Trade Certificate
    • High Voltage competent Certificate
    • Must know VSD’S and Soft Starters

    Experience

    • 5 Years relevant experience
    • Medical fitness as per organisational requirements
