    Ops Specialist: Ancillary & Compliance

    Core Description

    • The incumbent is responsible to ensure Statutory and Legal compliance and safety of Network power installations in the Telkom ICT network and will be appoited by the Chief Executive Officer as "Competent Person Supervisor of Machinery" in terms of General Machinery Regulation 2 (7).

    Job Responsibilities

    OUTPUT 1

    • Provided Support to Ancillary Services Group (Regional SPOC)

    SUB-OUTPUTS

    • Liaise with Regional sections
    • Conduct special investigations and report
    • Assist regions to reach statutory compliance
    • Ensure regional staff are aware of safety requirements
    • Certify staff competent to perform specific work
    • Conduct knowledge reviews/Safety inspections
    • Update Master-Plan and site records
    • Assist in project QA, hand-over ad operational readiness
    • Perform regional duties required by the corporate division

    • Take remedial action to prevent re-occurrence of incidents

    • Input into Ancillary Master-plan to upgrade non-compliant sites.
    • Take corrective actions to remove safety risks from network

    • Resolve queries

    Functional Man: Network Centre Operation

    Core Description

    • Through planning, leadership, coordination, measurement & control, to be responsible for the management & optimal use of high level support specialist, financial, system & technology resources to ensure that the Network, services & products are functioning optimally according to set standards.
    • Ensure the high level support maintenance and associated operations of an area's core telecom Network & Service technologies both from a legacy and next generation perspective.
    • This includes Special Service activation & assurance, quality acceptance and commissioning of new network elements.

    Snr Specialist: Enterp & Public Sect Sol

    Core Description

    • Develop go-to-market plans for Enterprise and Public Sector business by using market solutions that are consistent with the segment requirements, commercial strategy, and business strategy of Openserve.
    • Develop product and solutions strategy including product lifecycle management and development of product roadmaps incorporating customer feedback, market trends, technological trends, potential partnerships and considering the economics and financial requirements of Openserve.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Develop solutions to grow Openserve Enterprise & Public Sector revenue portfolio.
    • Monitor and evaluate industry trends, customer requirements and technological changes whilst regularly assessing alignment to Openserve business and commercial strategy.
    • Co-ordinate cross-functional teams, producing and reviewing solution requirement documents and ensuring products and solutions are launched correctly and on schedule.
