    Professional Nurse (Level 3)

    Job Description

    • You will take on the responsibility to conduct physical examinations on patients which will include completing the interview questionnaire before the full examination, taking vital signs, collecting relevant samples for relevant samples for required tests as well as making required recommendations and referrals.

    More of your responsibilities will include:

    • Ensuring patients are assisted effectively and that the auxiliary nurses practise within their scope
    • Ensuring that record keeping in accordance with legislation and that staff report for work on time as well as ensuring orientation for new staff members
    • Ensuring medical examinations are conducted effectively for fitness to work
    • Ensuring the medical staff disposes the medical waste in the correct medical and sharps containers
    • Ensuring understanding of processes when carrying out tasks and that the read and understand the operations standard procedures
    • Conducting VCT during certificate of fitness
    • Ensuring you are provided with the correct development opportunities

    This role is in the Service department at level 3 and reports to the Health Centre Superintendent

    Qualifications

    • Diploma / Degree in Nursing (NQF level 7)
    • Registered with SANC as Professional Nurse
    • Diploma/ B Tech in Occupational Health
    • Dispensing licence

    Knowledge and Experience

    • Experience in Occupational Health
    • Experience in Audiometry and Spirometry
    • 2 years’ experience in Nursing
    • Computer literate
    • Valid Driver’s License
    • Knowledge of ARV will be an advantage
    • Knowledge of TB management will be an advantage
    • Registered as a community health nurse

    International Tax Specialist

    Job Description

    • As the International Tax Specialist you will develop and implement tax risk management strategies, ensure seamless global tax integration, and lead specialised tax projects to support strategic business decisions and adherence to evolving regulations.

    More of your responsibilities will include:

    • Assisting in the preparation and submission of tax returns, including corporate income tax, IRP6’s, carbon tax, mining royalty tax, and dividends tax, ensuring adherence to local and international laws
    • Preparing monthly tax reports and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness
    • Providing tax advisory services on cross-border transactions, mergers, and acquisitions (M&A), and structuring of foreign operations
    • Reviewing the impact of new tax legislation, such as the OECD Pillar Two guidelines, and advise on compliance with minimum effective tax rates in relevant jurisdictions
    • Assisting in establishing and maintaining tax controls framework to manage and mitigate tax risks, including BEPS/Transfer Pricing compliance and CFC taxation
    • Collaborating on n periodically updating Transfer Pricing studies to reflect current market conditions
    • Monitoring legislative changes and ensure that the organisation’s tax strategy and compliance activities are up-to-date and aligned with best practices
    • Contributing to achieving financial targets and optimising the organisation’s tax position to enhance profitability by assisting with global tax rate reconciliations and ensure accurate tax reporting in financial statements
    • Providing tax input into liquidity and impairment models for financial planning purposes as well as supporting the identification and implementation of tax-efficient strategies for client billing and revenue remittance
    • Ensuring cohesive tax management and integration across all global entities and operations by supporting the tax management of the marketing entity in Dubai and the Australian subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations
    • Leading and managing specialised tax projects, ensuring successful implementation and compliance
    • Reviewing of agreements that will impact the business to ensure tax optimization and tax compliance of these agreements
    • Managing the organisation's participation in international tax initiatives, such as the OECD's Pillar Two guidelines, ensuring compliance with new global tax standards
    • Ensuring fill compliance with CbCR regulations by preparing and submitting accurate reports in accordance with international standards

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance / Accounting or other relevant discipline (NQF Level 7)
    • CA (SA) / CFA or post-graduate degree in Tax, Finance or Accounting or other relevant discipline (NQF Level 8/9) (Advantageous)

    Experience

    • Minimum 6 years’ experience in the management of international tax in a listed environment
    • Experience in Mining Taxation

    Technician Superintendent

    Job Description

    • As the Technician Superintendent you will be required to ensure compliance to the applicable standards and procedures pertaining to instrumentation; support the operation on matters pertaining to software and field instrumentation; provide assistance and guidance on new technologies in the processing plant at one of our flagships underground mechanised operations, Zibulo Colliery.

    Your key responsibilities will include: 

    • Managerial and Advisory Authority in ensuring we conform to the best engineering practices, implementation and adherence to Thungela standards and procedures and utilise the latest technology in the Control and Instrumentation field
    • Managerial Authority and Direct Responsibility in building and maintaining internal and external stakeholder relationships ensuring that all stakeholders are kept up to date
    • Managerial Authority in ensuring effective and efficient Investigation of stoppages and failures of equipment at the processing plant including incident investigations and conducting instrumentation audits
    • Advisory Authority in providing assistance, guidance and advice to the processing plant operations on issues pertaining to the replacement and upgrading of equipment for the operation as well as the breakdown and repair of control equipment
    • Auditing Authority in conducting C & I audits on processing plant equipment, standards, back up procedures, programmes, storage, and networks and ensure that Thungela standards are adhered to at the operation
    • Managerial and Advisory Authority in effective People management ensuring that roles are well defined and clarified and that competencies and learning paths are developed to human capacity and capability
    • Demonstrate effective financial control, budgeting and forecasting over the C&I department

    This role is in the Engineering Department at a Band 6 level reporting to the Section Engineer, with a team of Technicians/Mechanicians as direct reports.

    Qualifications

    • National Diploma/ Degree or N6 in Electrical Engineering (Light Current), Electronics Engineering or Process Instrumentation.
    • Registered as a Technologist with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) would be advantageous.

    Required Experience 

    • A minimum of 5 years post qualification instrumentation experience in a underground mining  environment, with at least 2 years at a Supervisory or similar level experience is required.
    • Experience in Siemens and/or Koyo Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) would be advantageous
