    Creditors Clerk - Cape Town

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Review and process supplier invoices for payment
    • Review and reconcile supplier invoices and credit card transactions
    • Obtain necessary approvals and investigate discrepancies
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier records
    • Capture and reconciliation of cashbook transactions
    • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies
    • Prepare, process and load payments to suppliers and casuals
    • Maintain accurate financial records in the accounting system
    • Investigate and resolve queries related to supplier accounts
    • Provide administrative support to the finance team and business
    • Prepare monthly balance sheet recons related to accounts payable and cashbooks

    Technical Skills:

    • Experience in a similar role would be beneficial
    • Basic accounts payable knowledge
    • Proficient in MS Excel
    • Xero and/or Syspro experience would be beneficial

    Merchandise Planner - Cape Town

    MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    • Ensuring in-stock availability of product ranges for the relevant categories on a weekly basis.
    • Identification of category opportunities.
    • Review cost estimates for existing products.
    • Proposal of new orders required (in conjunction with Buyer).
    • Ongoing control of the spend to approved budget.
    • Aligning historical and future product performance to forecast on a weekly and monthly basis, as well as for budgeting purposes annually.
    • Responsible for range review, category, and competitor analysis.
    • Range review: Preparing, analysing, and making recommendations that are aligned with budget as well as our strategy to meet targets.
    • Rate of Sales: ensure correct and changes presented with reasoning.
    • Forecasting for promotions with the buyer and department manager, as well as placing of promotional orders and track sell through.
    • Develop and maintain effective clearance triggers and strategy.
    • Liaising with information systems to design reports to ensure visibility of the correct information [i.e. stock, margin, availability].
    • Critically appraise past successes and failures to identify risks and opportunities.
    • Reassess current systems and processes and propose improvements.
    • Manage stock levels through new orders and clearance sales / AOS

    TECHNICAL SKILLS:

    • Relevant certificate, diploma or degree
    • Proven working experience as a Merchandise Planner (5+ years), specifically dealing with replenishment.
    • Good understanding of retail industry

    BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:

    • Highly degree of numeracy, able to work with large volumes of data
    • Strong analytical skills – ability to think strategically & commercially
    • Attention to detail, accuracy, disciplined to check work
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
    • Team working and interpersonal skills

    • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

    Financial Accountant - Cape Town

    Main Accountabilities include but are not limited to:

    Daily/Weekly:

    • Management of the Finance Administration team
    • Ensuring DEXT/APMax/XERO are up to date with processing turnarounds per normal SLA with Finance Administration team
    • Review and releasement of payments
    • GRN Health Check across SYSPRO and CIN7
    • AP and AR reviews with instructions to Finance Administration team
    • Review of Cashbook recons prepared by Finance Administration team

    Monthly:

    • Fixed Asset Register (FAR) maintenance – as well as Wear & Tear register.
    • Monthly Management Journals (Provisions/Accruals/Interbranch allocations, etc)
    • Intercompany – Loans and Invoicing (Cost Recoveries/Recharges)
    • VAT Preparation for Financial Manager Review
    • Balance Sheet Reconciliation preparation for review with Financial Manager
    • Preparation/review of Management Accounts
    • Oversight & management of stock count process for the Manufacturing entity
    • Review of materials utilisation and recovery in the Ecommerce and Dispatch division of the business

    Technical skills:

    • BCom Degree in Accounting or Management Accounting
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience managing / leading a team
    • 5- 8 years relevant accounting experience
    • Excellent Excel skills
    • Manufacturing experience would be advantageous
    • Excellent PC skills (MS Office, Syspro, Xero and CIN7 experience would be advantageous)
    • Good knowledge of IFRS for SME’s standards
