Applications are invited for the above-mentioned position in Supply Chain Excellence, Quality department, based at Adam Tas in Stellenbosch. The successful incumbent will report to the Group Quality Manager.

Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

• Develop and Drive Hygiene strategy as part of the Quality Excellence Strategy
• Develop a hygiene culture that is actively driven across the Distell business
• Develop new hygiene practices and standards for implementation
• Lead hygiene monitoring and measurement site capability
• Develop Group hygiene training material linked to hygiene learning pathways
• Conduct hygiene "Train the Trainer" initiatives
• Participate in high level problem solving
• Lead hygiene audits
• Drive Focused Improvement Initiatives
• Lead CIP improvement, in line with Sustainable Development
• Lead non-conformance reduction with regards to Micro related issues
• Develop and drive GMP across business
• Interrogate cleaning contracts and SLA’s to provide new contractor management standards
• Support FSSC22000 Implementation

The successful candidate must have the following qualification, skills and experience:

• Degree – BSc. Microbiology/ Btech. Food Technology/Biotechnology – MSc. Microbiology, Food Technology or Biotechnology would be an advantage
• Experience as part of an executive leadership team
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the microbiological field in an analytical role.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the microbiological field in a senior leadership role. (8 - 10 years combined experience)
• Proven project management capability
• Strong Process engineering working knowledge especially related to CIP and Sustainable Development
• Aseptic packaging knowledge
• Superior problem solving skills
• Excellent report writing skills
• Auditor experience
• Experience in writing procedures, work instructions etc.
• Strong knowledge of water systems for site
• Experience in an alcohol/beverage company with multi-site experience will be a definitely advantage.

Job Description

Applications are invited for the above mentioned position in the Global Internal Audit Division based at Head Office, De Hoop Building, in Stellenbosch. This position will report to the Chief Audit Executive.

Purpose Of The Position

• The primary function of the IT Audit and Project Assurance Manager is to provide assurance on the effectiveness of the Groups global IT controls environment, governance, risk management processes and key projects by compiling a risk based audit plan aligned to relevant strategies to add value to the effectiveness thereof.

Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

• Perform annual and continuous risk and control assessments of the Groups global IT environment,
• Develop Group IT Audit and Project Assurance Strategy and provide strategic input into the Global Internal Audit Strategy,
• Develop and implement annual risk based Audit Plan and IT Audit universe,
• Develop project assurance methodology, frameworks and audit programmes for enterprise-wide high risk IT and non-IT projects,
• Ensure quality of execution and reporting of project assurance, IT Audits and IT Risk Management reviews/ special projects in accordance with Company and professional standards,
• Perform complex reviews and specialist consulting/ advisory services,
• Prepare summary reports to senior/ executive management and the Audit Committee,
• Ensure goals and targets contribute to larger business results,
• Collaborate and understand the needs of the business and provide technical solutions and recommendations to deliver on business expectations,
• Build effective and trusting relationships with clients, manager and peers,
• Stay abreast of current developments in IT, cyber security and industry leading business practices, and
• Implement innovated audit process to improve overall efficiency and contribute added value. This includes an increase in the use of CAATs and the automation of audit work.

The successful candidate must have the following qualification, experience, skills and experience:

• Suitable tertiary IT related qualification, e.g. BCOM Informatics, BTech IT, H Dip Computer Audit,
• CISA certification required,
• CIA, CISM, CISSP, CA (SA), MBA and/or Post Graduate qualification would be advantageous,
• Minimum of 3 – 5 years management experience leading a team of IT Auditors,
• Proven track record of leading teams across multiple projects,
• Minimum 5 years IT Audit experience required, including extensive experience with Applications Control and General Control Reviews, SAP Security, Basis and Authorisation Reviews for different SAP Modules, IT Governance and Risk Management, Information Security, System Development Lifecycle reviews from planning to reviewing all phases of the audit,
• Minimum 2 – 3 years’ experience with project assurance and demonstrable operational knowledge of project methodologies such as Prince 2, Agile etc,
• Strong knowledge of leading risk and controls frameworks such as COBIT, ISO27000, and IT related internal controls,
• Experience in an FMCG environment and/ or wine and liquor industry will be an advantage,
• Ability to communicate highly technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences and demonstrated innovation in IT audit program development and delivery,
• Good analytical skills and ability to interpret various data,
• Strong decision-making, problem-solving ability, business acumen and judgement.
