    Manager Unit I

    Job description

    Pioneer Foods seek a suitably qualified Manager Unit I at their Essential Foods, Cape Bakeries, Duens in Epping, Cape Town. The successful candidate will co-ordinate the activities of various departments of e.g. production, engineering, quality control and stores in order to meet the profits and quality standards required. Ensures the efficient use of manpower, equipment and materials. Manages own administration. Normally reports to Functional Manager.

    SPECIFIC OUTPUTS:

    • Managed and controlled product quality assurance.
    • Forecasted product demand.
    • Maintained operations services levels and optimised plant, machinery and equipment.
    • Optimised manufacturing, warehousing & distribution of core products.
    • Approved and managed working capital budgets and projects and managed team.

    MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

    • 6 to 8 years manufacturing experience.
    • Managerial experience.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    Business Administration or Production Management - related.

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Business planning skills.
    • People Management skills.
    • Product Demand Forecast skills.

    Manager Human Resources I

    Job description

    Pioneer Foods seek a suitably qualified Manager Human Resources I at their Pioneer Foods, Groceries, (Oats & Cereals) in Atlantis. The successful candidate will have a 3 year qualification in Human Sciences and at least 5 years HR experience in a FMCG manufacturing environment. They will be responsible for the human resources function of more than one unit and approx. 250 employees. General duties may include HR data analysis & reporting, recruitment of management and Bargaining Unit employees, management of non-permanent employees, workplace skills & equity planning, people performance management, employee relations, and organizational development. We require an individual who prides themselves in world-class customer service, a strong sense of commitment and the ability to work cross-functionally in a professional manner. A proven-track record of employee relations management would be beneficial while punctuality and the ability to deliver on-time and in full is a must. This role will primarily be based in Atlantis and will require weekly business travel within the Western Cape between Bellville, and Epping- own reliable transport is therefore a requirement.
