Location: Waterfall (Midrand)

Reporting to: Operational Financial Manager - MILLING

Purpose of the job: To manage the financial function on Milling Sites through the implementation of financial controls, recording and reporting to ensure controls are maintained in all finance related functions/procedures relating to business on site/s in area of responsibility in order to mitigate risks.

Job objectives:

• To ensure asset management processes are implemented and maintained to manage stock, accurately to prevent theft.
• To manage all procedures relating to debtors and creditors to prevent misappropriation of company funds.
• To ensure accurate recording and reporting of financial information through review and reporton of balance sheet reconciliations
• To assist with cost management service to the management team along with waste elimination opportunities.
• To provide support with compilation of capex applications.
• To check site budgets in line with corporate guidelines.
• To supervise and optimise the performance of the sites in line with the leadership promise and company values.

Responsibilities:

Financial accounting including:-

• Initiating and maintaining of company procedures and policies relating to admin and finance
• Managing risk and taking corrective action
• Budget checking, consolidation, monitoring and variance reporting
• Forecasting and financial projections
• Ensuring correctness/accuracy of financial data
• Perform financial month-end up to trial balance on a relief basis, as required
• Review and report on balance sheet reconciliations
• Assisting the sites with financials as required
• Compiling of all required reports within set deadlines
• Manage on-going functioning of IT infrastructure
• Managing Human Resources
• Prepare and assist with audits

Job specific requirements:

Job Knowledge:

ERP system eg Microsoft Great plains or equivalent - Intermediate - Desirable
