    Crane Operator (Cranes / Construction / Operator / Machinery / Rigging)

    Job Description:

    Reference Number: 124 1209 MHU

    To operate a mobile crane according to the Operators certification, including safety checks, driving the crane to site, risk assessments, setting up and operating the crane. Reports directly in to the Operations Manager.
     
    Responsibilities:

    • On instruction from Supervisor / Operations Manager, drive the crane to the work site
    • On arrival, make contact with the client and determine where the crane is to be set up
    • Report all shortcomings and defects to Supervisor / Operations Manager as soon as they’re identified
    • Survey the site and conduct a proper risk assessment
    • Ensure the client signs off the risk assessment, as well as the contact, before setting up commences
    • Set up and operate the crane according to laid-down procedures
    • Obey the clients laid-down rules and regulations as conveyed
    • Contact  the Operations Manager immediately in case of any misunderstanding with the client
    • Complete timesheets and further applicable documents to be signed off by the client on a daily basis
    • Ensure the timesheets, further applicable documents and the signed contract is returned to the Operations department timeously
    • Supervise the crane assistant in carrying out his duties
    • Assist in training new operators or crane assistants
    • Assist with site surveys

    Requirements: Qualification and Skill

    • Matric
    • 3 – 5 years crane operation experience
    • Drivers license Code 11 and/or higher
    • Certification as a crane operator
    • Understand rigging signals
    • Familiar with Crane and load charts

    Credit Risk Framework Consultant

    Job Description:

    The business provides investment solutions to institutional investors across the African continent.  This individual would take ownership of, and improve on, the existing credit management framework used in the management of investments & investment solutions.  The role will suit a dynamic & driven candidate who would like to form part of an exceptional growth plan for the next few years.

    Responsibilities:

    • Analyse economic characteristics, credit data & financial statements of institutions in order to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money to such institutions
    • Analyse the credit management process currently in operation and suggest improvements
    • Build the systems, processes and capabilities to automate as far as possible the credit management function

    Requirements: Qualification and Skill

    • Graduate qualification is essential
    • CFA Charterholder preferred
    • At least 5 years of experience working in credit, credit analysis & writing and developing a risk framework is required
    • Strong Analytical & quantitative skills
    • Fixed income experience / exposure is preferred
    • Experience in the management of credit in default & the recovery of non-performing assets is preferred
    • Candidates need to come from the financial services industry
    • South African citizen
    • Excellent command of the English language

    Responsibilities:
