Bursaries worth 3.8 Million at Embury Institute

In order to widen access to our qualifications, Embury is awarding bursaries worth R3.5 million for 2018 through two bursary campaigns.

Embury Institute for Higher Education is a fully accredited private higher education institution that specialises in teacher education, specifically for pre-school and primary school teachers (Foundation and Intermediate Phases).

Embury was established in 1995, and we believe that we produce some of the best trained teachers in South Africa.

In order to widen access to our qualifications, Embury is awarding bursaries worth R3.5 million for 2018 through two bursary campaigns, namely:

The triple 3 campus tuition bursary scheme (worth R500 000); and

The 4-year tuition bursary scheme for high-performing but financially challenged students (worth R250 000 per student, and R3 million in total).

TRIPLE 3 CAMPUS TUITION FEE BURSARY SCHEME

All first-year full-time applicants on all Embury qualifications at all three Embury campuse who pay their deposits before the end of November 2017 will be eligible to win the following bursaries:

  • Three students (one per campus) will get a full bursary for their 1st-year post-deposit outstanding tuition fee. This excludes any textbooks and device fees.
  • Three students (one per campus) will get R20 000 off their 1st-year post-deposit outstanding tuition fee.
  • Thirty-three students (11 per campus) will get R10 000 off their post-deposit outstanding tuition fee.

Four of these R10 000 bursaries per campus will be reserved for those who attend our open days.

4-YEAR TUITION BURSARIES FOR HIGH-PERFORMING BUT FINANCIALLY CHALLENGED B.Ed STUDENTS

Embury is offering 12 full bursaries worth R250 000 each on our Durban, Montana and Waterfall campuses to celebrate the opening of our new campuses (4 bursaries per campus).

This bursary is only available to learners whose parents or guardians earn a combined monthly income of less than R20 000.

The bursary will cover all tuition and textbook fees for four years, plus the cost of an electronic device in the first year.

Recipients have to pass all modules every year in order to continue receiving the bursary.

Applications close at midnight on 30 November 2017
