    General Manager: Online Marketing

    Job description

    The General Manager for Online Marketing contributes to the organisational goals by increasing the return on investment in Online Marketing activities across all divisions.

    Objectives:

    • Strategic:
      • Develop and implement a relevant Online Marketing Strategy to support the Group Strategy.
      • Continuously map Online Marketing capabilities to strategic priorities to ensure business sustainability and continuity.
      • Serve as the main sponsor for Online Marketing process innovation.
      • Develop and administer the Online Marketing project portfolio.
    • Online Marketing:
      • Manage the Group’s online marketing spend on the following platforms: Google Adwords, Banner Advertising, Mobile Advertising, and Affiliate Marketing.
      • Review and define strategies for each of the areas continuously.
      • Manage a team of highly competent online planners and buyers as well as the online creative department which supports display advertising.
      • Manage the implementation and effectiveness of SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) across all the Group websites.
    • Operational Support:
      • Improve the analytics and measurement framework according to which performance in the online and mobile space is measured.
      • Extract, integrate and analyse web and mobile data to create concise analytical conclusions and recommendations with the intention of improving customer experience, conversions, abandonments, and marketing return
      • Integrate data from different sources and track online performance as it relates to the total multiple channel opportunity
      • Identify relationships and trends in data, as well as any factors that could affect the data.
      • Process large amounts of data for statistical purposes using analytics software. (including, trends, segmentation, predictive modelling)
      • Develop automated performance and production data models for input to management reports.
      • Set up multi – variant testing platforms to test best layout and designs.
      • This high-level position is based near Midrand.
