    Key Responsibilities

    Here, everyone matters and you will be a vital contributor to our inspiring, bold mission. As the Managing Director, South Africa & Algeria, you will be empowered develop and lead a cluster wide strategy & identify growth drivers and foundation needed to deliver cluster strategic intent during MRP period. To lead and ensure the realization of the key business priorities and targets year on year, while building a sustainable, efficient business model and creating an inspiring, engaging workplace for people. A typical day will include:

    • As the leader of the organization, provide strategic direction and roll out business strategy supported by functional strategies, and aligned with overall NEMEA and Global strategies.
    • Monitor and review impact of strategic projects, policies and programs of all functions on business; identifies opportunities for improvement through continuous alignment.
    • Regularly monitors and reviews performance of all functions and ensure adherence with defined strategies policies and procedures.
    • Deliver Revenue & profitability commitments, ensure consistent and continuous market share growth through key marketing strategies.
    • Promote compliance as a mandate to run sustainable business growth both internally and with important stakeholders in industry; ensure that business is meeting desired compliance levels set.
    • Build capabilities and motivated workforce; foster a culture of patient centricity and create an inspiring and engaging workplace.
    • Ensure continuous development of direct reports and build successors for key leadership and critical roles.

    Required Qualifications

    MBA/ Post Graduate Diploma in Management from a renowned institution / university.

    Relevant Experience

    • 15+ years of total experience.
    • 10-12 years of solid business management experience in a medium to large size reputable. organization/s, with few years general management experience, preferably in a multi-national organization.
    • Excellent in-depth knowledge of key business functions such as Marketing, Sales, Medical, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, etc.
    • In-depth understanding of pharmaceutical industry.

    Skills & Personal Characteristics

    • Extremely developed entrepreneurial skills which are required to grow the business multi-folds in the new markets with high number of new product launches in various new markets.
    • Strategic thinker, innovative, able to drive multiple-simultaneous initiatives, able to work under pressure.
    • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical industry and stakeholder expectations internally and externally.
    • Excellent leadership, managerial, interpersonal and relationship building skills.
    • Strong in understanding and embracing diversity.
    • High level of ‘Learning Agility’ which comes with strong self-awareness, mental-people-change-results agility.
    • Goal oriented, focused, energetic, and enthusiastic.
