    Business Development Manager

    Job description

    • Developing marketing and commercial plans encompassing the full marketing mix.
    • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with Distributor/Customers/Key Accounts.
    • Strengthening reach and penetration levels through appointed distributors
    • Timely forecasting of products with customers across all product categories within the
    • Channel.
    • Sales planning by Quarters and long-term plans.
    • Managing strategies and tactics for achieving Sales targets.
    • Managing pricing with commercial evaluation.
    • Ensuring Structure and procedures for smooth and effective execution/implementation of
    • sales and marketing plans.
    • Ensuring performance comparison of actual and planned sales results, examination of
    • reasons for variance and evaluation of need for plan revision.
    • Managing Monthly review and analysis of sales.
    • Financials (NSV + GM) - Sales & Financial targets for the Southern African Market.
    • Managing the commercial business objectives for the Southern African Market.
    • Managing market operational requirements – forecasting/service levels etc.
    • Management of duty free customers within Southern Africa
    • Prepare and analyse opportunity gaps, evaluate category promotional activity to optimize lifts, and identify the potential to maximize distribution and assortment
    • Stay informed of competitive activity, business/market conditions, feeding in opportunities/issues/ideas to global and local teams, which help refine global strategy and identify new business opportunities
    • Be abreast of individual market compliance / market regulations
    • Provide ongoing brand education and training to distributors, in a way which creates deep understanding and powerful advocacy for the new brands, galvanising and mobilising key business partners
