Job description

Reporting to the Financial Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

the costing of products sold, ensuring bill of materials are accurate, ensuring that all processing relating to the cost of material and stock is up to date, assistance with stock take procedure and recording of stock take.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Daily monitoring of transactional activities in the factory
• Ensuring correctness of all Bills of Material
• Daily monitoring of all costing variances being pricing and efficiency variances
• Investigate all inventory work in progress values and ensure validity
• Assist with stock take and inventory movements
• Become the costing support
• Assist with the annual budgeting and forecasting process
• Various ad hoc functions as requested by management of the company
• Filing of all documents on a monthly basis as per the agreed standard

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Completed three year Diploma in Cost and Management Accounting (minimum), B. Tech (Cost and Management Accounting) or B. Comm (Management Accounting) qualification (or similar qualification).
• Strong knowledge of an ERP system with preference to Syspro
• Strong MS Office skills with advanced Excel and SQL skills will be an added advantage
• Good communication skills in English and Afrikaans
• You must have a sound understanding of Costing within the manufacturing sector.
